By far the worst performance of the year

Getting muscled off the ball time and time again. Can’t seem to settle the ball and end up in 50:50s that look like 30:70s

Someone (couldn’t see who) went down very softly asking for a foul that gave the opportunity.

The depth of the squad vs 8 months ago is night and day. When Eustace came on board outside Szmodics our best attacking players were JRC and Brittain. Today they’re not in the starting XI. The goal scoring “threat”of Gally and Telalovic replaced by Ohashi and Gueye. Add Weizmann and TC and it’s clear GB was either inept or hampered by the owners or both.

The luxury of having 2 quality and in form strikers for one place is so foreign to us as supporters we no longer know how to embrace the competition for the place in the starting XI. This was a great window, takes us from odds on favorites for relegation to mid table with hopes of higher if luck comes. Net positive for FFP bean counters and maybe one day if the owners can ever fund the club we could push on. Here’s to losing my 100 quid bet on us being relegated.
