  1. Would be just like Rovers to let Rooney have a stormer.
  2. Well that was a surprise. In sight of the play offs and then bottle it. Just like against Wigan. So boring and so predictable. Be nice if our 5 million striker scored a goal at Ewood at somepoint.
  3. Their penalty was just a garbage ref even ing it up. Never a penalty in a million years. To hold out for a win away at a top side with your best players missing you need luck and some fair and strong refereeing. We didn't get that today. But 12 months ago we'd have lost that game so definitely progress. Walton played well to be fair so deserves some credit. Need to be ruthless now at home. These are the kind of games we have bottled in the past.
  4. Bellamy was a brilliant player for Rovers. After Shearer, Friedel and Tugay, the fourth best Rovers player I've seen. But he was unpopular with some in the dressing room. Nelsen hated him. Prob cos of how he was with Pedersen and others.
  5. Really good article. Top class player and pro. My player of the season by a long way. Great signing by Mowbray.
  6. I have criticised Mowbray. But credit where it is due, he deserves immense praise for his selection and tactics and preparation for today and other recent matches. 3 points off the play offs without our best player and other important players is terrific, particularly with no January investment. Blooding of some youngsters and a settled back four. Massive improvement from our full backs, who now look much more confident. Players playing in their correct positions too. Hats off to Mowbray.
  7. Has Mowbray ever explained his thinking behind playing a tall winger like Gallagher out wide? It hasn't worked, ever, and yet he persists in it. Not one other Rovers fan would play Gallagher out wide. It is bizarre. Like Parker playing Mitrovic out wide and Reid through the centre. Why does he do it. Anyway another season over. Blame the injuries. Or we could blame the chronic lack of January investment when our best player is out for a year, or Mowbray wasting 12 million on two donkeys and then single handedly draining them of any confidence by playing them out wide. It's boring and predictable. Just like Mowbray's tactics.
  8. This guy is pure class. Was treated so shoddily by Hughes and the Tafia after all he'd done for the club. Something that I never forget. Him leading the team out at Cardiff was a great gesture by Souey which spoke volumes for him and how highly he thought of Tony Parkes. A true Rovers legend who deserves a club honour. The renaming of the stand is a great shout.
  9. No way consistent enough to make up six points on teams above. With our best players fit and a squad boosted by some quality in the last month maybe. But as those not possibilities it'll be a no. The fact we haven't been in the top six since donut kean would also suggest not.
  10. Absolutely as depressing can be. What have those two donuts, Mowbray and Waggott been doing for the last month? We've lost our best player for a year. One of our central midfielders is out for the season. One of our better attacking players is out for a month. Our best left back is out for the season. Both our first choice centre halves are injury prone. We did the same last season and ended up short at the back. And not one person at the club has thought it would be a good idea to bring in someone to cover these situations. Every other team is strengthening. We are on the cusp of the play offs and not a hint of ambition. Nothing to get the supporters excited. It's a disgrace. Mowbray and his pal will trot out the same Groundhog Day excuses. Hard to negotiate; rubbish; every other club manages. It's boring. It's a joke. And it epitomises what a small time, low budget ambition less club we are. Someone needs to tell Mowbray what a shambles our recruitment process is. But I won't hold my breath.
  11. What a surprise. Waggles and Mowbray couldn't run a bath, never mind a club. Just wait for the plethora of garbage about clubs asking for ridiculous amounts of money and waiting until summer and having to go forward with what we've got. Boring, no ambition and small time and all very predictable.
  12. You mean agents and other shady characters are having a say in the running of our club and impacting on who we sign? No chance. That would never happen surely.
  13. Absolutely pinching a living is Stevie boy. This reminds me. What is Mike Cheston up to these days? The man who said Coyle was the outstanding candidate. And Agnew. And Derek Shelfy Shaw? And Shebby, I'll call one of our senior players a pensioner in an interview, Singh? We have had some absolute imbeciles in important, decision making roles. Corrupt imbeciles too. Could easily have been a mirror of Bolton with a role call of idiots like that. Apologies for not keeping on thread.
  14. Billy Sharp would be a top signing. The kind of signing that would make way too much sense for our decision makers. Plus he'd prob need until May to learn about how we play and fit into the group.
  15. Marshall is now playing exactly at the level he deserves. He was garbage at Rovers. One good game and ten where he went missing. He had ability but his attitude stunk, especially at the end when he wanted out. The fact no one took a chance on him says it all.
  16. A class act. Player of the Year without question and Mowbray deserves credit for his signing. Definitely worth another year. A great professional.
  17. Whoever it is will need some time on the grass before they learn about how we play and they're ready.
  18. That really is a shocking statistic from a supposed attacking midfielder. I suppose there was a reason we got him on a free from Oxford Utd. Agree on Mulgrew. Think, although his performances weren't as good defensively last season, he deserves respect for what he's done for the club and would be due a top reception.
  19. It is laughable that Mowbray continually talks about inflated fees when he has wasted 12 million on two donkeys who have a grand total of two league goals all season between them. Why does no one at Radio Lancs or LET call him out on this? He really must think the punters are thick to accept all the rubbish that spouts out his mouth. He'll be mentioning dew on the grass next.
  20. Madine to Blackpool on a free is a good signing. Two years after costing 6 million. Hope this comment isn't deleted like my last.
  21. I'd go back to the 4231. Walton, Nyambe (if fit), Lenihan, Tosin, Downing at the back. Travis and Evans in the centre. Front four of Armstrong, Holtby, Chapman and Graham. Pace out wide. Craft and experience in the centre.
