  1. Doubt there isn’t a fan here that’s questioned their support or how much support they are willing to give next season is things remain the same. It’s been a hard hard season, that January window was the lowest iv ever felt supporting the team and that Wednesday match only rivalled with the Wigan relegation game for worst game. for just now I’d take waggot getting potted and squad rebuilt. I’m on the fence with eustace but I don’t see him being sacked just now
  2. Actually don’t think Sheffield are as safe as they thing they are either, Sunderland fans won’t want to finish on a horrible run, due a bit of a performance , I’m not convinced Wednesday win
  3. Yes it is, but like you say, concede one and we are as good as beat, we actually have a fairly decent record last games of the season, even the one we went down we managed to hammer Brentford. An early goal for us would settle nerves
  4. Your anger is at the wrong people here my friend I hate them for what they have done to the club but I still don’t see why they would buy us to destroy us and have us tumble down the leagues, I do believe they bought us to promote their brand, I don’t think they will be getting much promotion from league 1 and below. not sure they run the Indian government to chop their own legs off financially again, I get that your angry but conspiracy theories etc just make us sound mad.
  5. Please see earlier posts, there is no benefit of the doubt. do I really believe they want us relegated? No, not really, they have took this on which is way over their heads and skills, the job is too big for them and their government has chopped their legs off meaning they couldn’t put funds in when it was needed. I imagine they would ultimately like to sell the club but they have put too much money in for what they would get back. So no I don’t think they want us relegated, I still think they have a half baked idea that they can get us promoted on the cheap and who knows maybe they may sell if that ever happened. as someone else said, right now they are a cancer to the club , they are no good for us and we need rid to get any kind of club back but sorry I don’t buy into the bought to destroy us notion. Incompetent, badly advised, poor recruitment 100%
  6. I think a few of you are misinterpreting some posts as pro venkys, I don’t think anyone in here is pro venkys , but there is a marked difference in them opening up their wallets and stripping assets , if we survive on Saturday I would like to think they realise the squad needs bolstered considerably or they will be league 1 bound. If no money is spent on the squad then no money will be spent by the fans. Time for them to show their intentions.
  7. Telling that most of Mowbrays good signings were loans , which ultimately were short term gain long term pain
  8. Tbf a few are saying that we will stay up because the teams below haven’t picked up , with the exception of Rotherham I would say they have, they have all got points I wouldn’t have considered, we could really have done with a couple of them not picking up. Even Huddersfield have ran us close. Preston and Leicester in particular seem to have thrown points to our relegation rivals
  9. I thought they said the financial blockages had been lifted and they were able to support us again. If we aren’t paying a transfer fee we can surely offer a decent wage. We must have money with the Wharton and raya money coming in this summer
  10. Sorry jdt had run his race, he was done weeks before he finally went. I can’t forgive putting pears in when we had a fit kaminski, think a few are rewriting history with how tactically astute jdt was
  11. Tbf I don’t know any rovers fans that stay we should stick with venkys , heard this myth a lot over the years but yet to find this strange and not of this planet beast
  12. Ben Davies, Kieran dowell and Tom Lawrence all told to find new clubs by rangers, they aren’t sexy signings but they are all champ worthy , fairly steady eddies that would improve our squad
  13. Fair play to Ipswich, can’t help but feel a bit jealous , massive egg on my face as I told a fan at the start of the season that they would probably get relegated if they had Walton in goal. still, they will get battered next year
  14. Sammy is one of those strikers that you want to be given a bit of time to think about what he is wanting to do with it, when it comes and him quick and he just reacts he isn’t too good. opposite to a lot of strikers that can’t score when they have time as it gets in their head too much but are decent instinct strikers. Probably like an Armstrong
  15. Difference of opinion, i would want us to show our intention from the start , catch them cold from their celebrations , play like we did in the fa cup tie there last season, hooefully dolan is in the same mood
  16. I really wanted to like Leo but initially I thought he was a flapper but a decent shot stopper but then there was a game the ball went in like middle of the goal as if it just went right through him. if he can’t catch a ball and is dodgy on crosses, unless he really works and improves on that he won’t make it in this league. id go back to bromby in the summer and say you can have him now for 250k-500k and cut our losses , we don’t have time for a dodgy keeper. pears is a number 2 and that’s where he should remain. a decent experienced champ keeper brought in to take over as our number 1
  17. Not quite sure what Alan Browne is wanting, if it’s more money, a change or a bigger team but he is digging his heels in with a new Preston deal, I’d be shoving a contract his way to mull over
  18. I think we go for an early goal, would relax us immensely if we have a 2 goal buffer
  19. His only impression on me was missing a header that would have got us an unlikely point in a game, I can’t even remember who it was against, Birmingham? but yes, another point would have been great right about now
  20. We will try and stifle a 0-0 but ultimately no we won’t win nor gain a point. I wish our gd was better or the other teams had less favourable games but it is what it is, I think Plymouth will go
  21. This. I too have defended him in the past but we really need a goal scorer not a forward who is handy to have at the back , best way I can put it is that he is a striker who doesn’t crave goals, never seen that hunger in him
  22. My prediction for last day sunderland score early 1-0 v owls birmingham score mid way through first half 1-0 v Norwich we are 0-0 at ht plymouth and hull 0-0 ht plymouth score early in second half 1-0 v hull owls equalise v Sunderland Leicester score about 70 mins to put us in the bottom 3 , a cock up at the back birmingham score a 2nd Leicester score a second and we are done for saving ourselves Norwich pull one back 2-1 Sheff we’d score a second, now 2-1 up we now go into the last 10 mins praying for an equaliser in 2 of the games late hull goes saves our bacon for another season We scrape in by a point
  23. Loved him but no, his race is run, those injury’s have goosed him
  24. I have stuck up for him since he came in really , as he was left a mess of a squad with no power to get his own players in but im not seeing anything to give me confidence that he is a winner and can stop our decline. Fluffed 2/3 good opportunities to get us safe and just hasn’t been brave enough to get us wins instead of draws. When are we going to get a late winner? I don’t want a scared manager, that breeds onto the pitch. we need something different, give me a sheff wed or qpr type appointment
  25. Gentlemen’s agreement for a point , they can run out their ressies, cmon Leicester , we have a decent relationship I think….
