Most of these came to us as scholars. My view is that the scouting pre U16s is poor and that's possibly something to do with them selling off one of the academy sites. Just seems like money thrown away on development centres all over from age 5 /6, teams up to U16 with coaches employed at each age group etc etc etc....and at the U16 we get rid of them all and get some of the big clubs rejects who didn't get scholarships...... Whats the point? Buckley has been here since very young but nothing special, the last one was Jones who came right through from very young... I might have missed one but you get my drift. Why be cat 1 and all the cost that goes with it?

Dolan is a product of nobbers shit academy up UCLAN. Ours has under performed for years....I can find us 2 more U18s at nobbers now that are as good if not better than Dolan, relative to their positions. Our academy is flabby, needs trimming.

I'd say his career will absolutely match Dolans. Dolan will fall down the divisions too.

Not to mention the obvious decline in our on-pitch results, which doesn't support the fact that they are good recruits. The club is being dumbed down slowly buy surely and some on here are happy to let the happen.

No, the Jack who was here a few seasons back., I certainly wasn't comparing Dolan to Wilshire....not in the same stratosphere. The nobbers let him go after having him for several seasons, you are describing him as a world beater with control better than you've seen in a long time. My view is that they let him go for a reason. He has had a decent 6 months and that's it. Hopefully he will develop but I'm not convinced.

I'm not sold on Dolan. Its a long road for a young lad and I'm not sure. Lacks power, for me a bit of a Jack whatshisname...little geezer nice feet....
