Bell and WIlliams have shown that they are not good enough but for people to suddenyl suggest a young LB that has been on loan in lower leagues past couple seasons, a 35-year old left winger and a young CB kid are now better than both, is quite comical to say the least. Thats more guesswork than opinion.

We have plenty of pace out wide with Armstrong, Rothwell (if ever played) and Chapman (if ever fit enough to play and then picked to play). Nyambe is solid defensively and will improve. Has to be in place of Bennett. I think the board will go into complete meltdown with no new defenders signed and then we see Bennett back at RB. Lenihan and/or Tosin and Williams have to all be ahead of Mulgrew should no other CBs come in. LB, who knows but Mulgrew possibly there like you suggest. Bell, Williams have shown to be liabilities there and Hart is unproven. Damn our defence is truly gash.

Tosin is highly rated but the WBA fans i have spoke to about him say he would be a better DM than CB and is definitely not good at RB.

Sharpe has been dampening expectations for days now regarding defence. Same line, if something comes up they will look at it but don't expect any big money to be changing hands. Think here he is just trying to get in early before he is engulfed with "surely that means that there is a CB coming in?" comments.

Pace is definitely needed. No excuse for Rothwell not to start. Armstrong should be other flank too, he has not been on his game so far but just having pace scares the bejeezuz out of teams. Struggling to choose between BB and DG for this too. I previously said BB deserved a start against Charlton and still do but I think away from home we need someone the ball will stick to more. Think I would go with DG to start and hopefully those around him can pick up the pieces when balls are launched at him when we are under the cosh.

Lenihan is our best defender by some way actually. If we ever got to a stage where he was our worst, we'd be looking in good shape. He is much better when he is the one marshaling the defence and not Mulgrew - I noticed against Charlton he has even started making his feelings known towards the captain a bit more.

Further research does suggest that he wins pretty much everything in the air. I dont know, at the point where i just want a damn CB to come in that isn't Mulgrew.

A quick twitter search and QPR fans and other fans from his previous clubs were laughing at Sheffield United for even looking at him. Say he is always either injured or suspended over Christmas and that milk turns quicker.
