  1. Or perhaps he doesnt want to tell you anymore lol
  2. Yup apart from Magloire and maybe Rankin-Costello if he is being primed for RB/RWB right now, the others will be so far down the pecking order due to our other options in their positions. I would definitely be thinking about getting them half a season initially in League 1 or 2 then taking it from there in January.
  3. Tuanzebe? The player Villa are trying to sign and Manchester United just a day ago said has a good chance of being part of their first team plans this season? Nah, we wont be getting him.
  4. That article says that it will be going on sale on Saturday - judging my their fans reactions, I wouldnt be bringing in any additional clubshop staff to deal with the demand.
  5. I thought this too...must be desperate if Bolton is his only option. My guess would be that he is settled in this area and he has said to himself that if he cannot get a club around these parts, he will call it a day.
  6. Yeah and then you get the likes of Newcastle and Arsenal fans banging on about they have the worst owners in football.
  7. Butterfield was on loan at Bradford last season, not sure we should be bringing him in. Adam perhaps but not Butterfield..
  8. Thats great news - guess he was just ill after all.
  9. Not sure we can realistically expect the fullbacks to be replaced (at least permanently) during this window on top of everything else. Bell got better at the end of the season and Nyambe will be a year older and with an international tournament under his belt. Both worth persevering with for another season in my opinion.
  10. I heard Friday - think its on this thread somewhere.
  11. I would imagine so, they have been doing a bit of digging...understandably, and: The following Advertising is permitted:(i) Playing kit(a) On the Clothing of a Player on the field of play, the following areas shall be permitted to be used for AdvertisingOne single area not exceeding 250 square centimetres on the front of the shirt (see Fig 10);One single area not exceeding 100 square centimetres on the back of the shirt (see Fig 13);One single area not exceeding 100 square centimetres on each sleeve of the shirt, between the shoulder seam and the elbow (provided Affiliated Association or Competition Rules so permit) (see Fig 12);One single area not exceeding 100 square centimetres on the back of the shorts (see Fig 14); andOnce only on each sock tie-up providing it does not exceed an area of 100 square centimetres (see Fig 11).One or more company may be advertised and, in respect of any one company, one or more of its products. The same Advertising must appear in the same form on the Clothing of all Players and Club Officials, wherever such Advertising appears, throughout the entirety of the match.(b) Any Advertising under C2(i) must be clearly separated from the items described in B above.
  12. They must be paying a huge sponsorship amount, thats a Paddy Power logo with a shirt underneath rather than a shirt with a sponsor on it. Their forums are a fun read although most think its a windup as it exceeds the sponsor specifications. My personal favourite comment so far: "It looks like we won Miss Paddy Power"
  13. Sorry, forgot you were a closet City fan. Bought the shirt after all.
  14. If Hart was as good as many mooted on here, surely he would have prem teams lining him up? The fact that he has fallen so far in the last few years is worrying. Yeah, he has had a good career previously but the last few have been pretty bad. Carson, again, good keeper on his day but being released/sold by a club we are aspiring to compete with next season for top 6 and as somebody showed earlier, was statistically whe worst keeper in the league last season. Get a little tired of people having a go at others for being underwhelmed or not in agreement with a signing. I would have rather preserved with Raya than those two above tbh. Adrian, Ruddy, Martinez on the other hand - would be definite upgrades and a safer bet in my opinion. And comparisons with Friedal are quite hilarious. He was not a previously top class goalkeeper that was in freefall. He struggled at Liverpool - that was it. Hart has been shite every where he has been since City.
  15. Mentioned him a couple of times. Solid keeper he is. Get on loan, groom him and sign him next season.
  16. Cannot see that happening. Spent three seasons on loan in the Championship and then drops down to League 1? Did well at all accounts at Bristol City last season, struggled here because of Dack being better and of course, helped Hudds to promotion a few years back.
  17. Might wanaa try this thread instead of starting another:
  18. Thought this myself. I think there is a design here rather than simply signing older players. I think its with a view to give the younger crop an obvious hole to fill in a couple of seasons.
  19. Me too, you only have to go back through this thread to see. I was quite thrilled about the signing as if he could become even half the player he was previously, we were quids in. I was also open for him to sign a sensible extension for a season or two as long as this CB notion was dropped and it was to challenge for a starting place in CM. This whole contract saga has really put me off him now though - not the attitude we want amid our ranks.
  20. It obviously hasn't gone as he would have liked here. He had this big masterplan of converting to a CB and despite us having one of the worst defences in the football league, he couldn't nail down a spot. In fact, his best performances came in the position where he forged a career but he obviously doesn't want to play there. I guess he imagined he would walk it and then get offered an improved contract. I imagine he hasn't been offered much at all and longing it out is his way of sticking two fingers up. If its a bad deal in your eyes, reject it move on like Conway did. If I was the club id be taking that contract away now - heck, i'd have given him till start of preseason before removing it.
  21. Also, back to the keeper. Surely we would have to be waiting on Carson to be replaced at Derby, they have nobody of note behind him.
  22. I would be happy with Skrtel - great player in his prime with tons of experience. Not the longterm answer but we be an immediate short term improvement.
  23. Me too - thats a great price for someone who has previously been excellent at this level. CBs and GK priority though this season - reckon we work on fullbacks January or next season.
