  1. Spat my coffee out. No way we're getting even a third of that for him.
  2. If its Evans or Smallwood, don't let them feature in the friendly or they might change their mind. Same goes for Gladwin. We need some of these CMs of the books now. As for Dack - hilarious.
  3. Could be a theme for the season looking at the balance of our squad lol
  4. Sunday, doubt much be happening today.
  5. I dont know, you can hardly stop a player from wanting to move on when PL league clubs start calling and with their scouting/recruitment success, you wouldnt bet against them finding the next Maupay. Same reason we wouldnt be able to stop Dack or any of our players going should the PL show interest.
  6. Actually their fans have really bought into their model. They're convinced they will find further gems.
  7. I dont see many other clubs queuing up for him. This England international of six years ago would have been snapped up long ago if anyone believed he had the desire to 'fulfill his potential'. Fact is, he doesnt. Might have earned enough money to never work again but quite happy to take another million off us for a season. Just retire mate, its quite obvious your love of the game has died and money has replaced that desire.
  8. What is it with the latest craze of icing sugar, baking and cakes being used to describe our current situation? Two different threads now lol.
  9. Like the lad, he likes it here - about as close as we're probably gonna get for a Graham replacement right now. DG is still head and shoulders the man at the front but at his age, this can change almost overnight. In isolation the signing is a good one - in my opinion anyway. Just bring in a CB (or two) and a GK and this moany old fcker will shut up til January.
  10. Brentford wanted Gallagher
  11. 10 silk cut was about the same
  12. Thing is, when you're that arrogant/confident (fine line), everything is great when its going well. Problems start when they're not. Instead of taking responsibility and knuckling down you still believe your own hype, that it will all come good, im still the best, im just down on my luck. The arrogance becomes a massive hindrance.
  13. Reed? Forster? Simms? Le Tissier?
  14. Maybe the 'rumour' of he didnt travel alone is slowing things down?
  15. You can tell the guy has a massive ego - just by looking at him. Thats why i have questioned whether his ego could take dropping down a division. Even when he played for England, as soon as the camera was on him on the tunnel he would play it up and would be all "come on boys"
  16. Wait what? THe last two teams on this thread have not included Rothwell.
  17. But is it worth what he will cost to find out? He is not exactly going to do a Rodwell and sign on minimal terms for a season.
  18. Spot on. In fact i said the very sae thing a couple weeks back (even used the very same keeper as an example lol). Keeper is one thing but CB is equally as important (ideally 2)
  19. Rodwell, at least we didnt pay over the odds. Was a gamble worth taking and we can now all see he is another Bentley - no passion for the game anymore despite what he says. Hart will cost a bomb whether thats wages, some kind of upfront signing on fee to lower his wages or whatnot. Sure, there is no doubt he is a better keeper than Raya by some way (on his day) but out of those mentioned, Hart would be bottom of my list. The fact that our six-fingered chums would laugh their tits off is just further salt in the wound.
  20. I also remember a certain international tournament where it seemed that practically any shot on target to our goal - went in. Let someone else try and pick up the pieces, in my opinion he is done.
  21. West Ham couldt do it, Burnley couldnt do it. Why should we be paying astronomical wages to find out if we can do it? Rather pay less for a safer bet.
  22. And it seems it was a similar story at West Ham, started first choice, finished second choice behind Adrian.
  23. Massive fall from grace. Representing Man City, then playing for Torino. Falling further down the pecking order in the PL at West Ham and then signing for an annual relegation favourite in Burnley. Next drop would then be us in the Championship and technically, we're a bottom half Championship club as things stand. I am not sure his ego for one would be able to take that. Why risk paying big wages when he is likely to turn out to be crap.
