  1. Didn't Turnball want to stay up north at this stage in his career and that's why he turned down Norwich to sign for Celtic?
  2. Maupay, Benrahma, Konsa and Ollie Watkins are all earning admirers for Brentford but they only finished a point above us.
  3. Not overly sure selling him is a good idea anyway - he just needs better competition or perhaps even drop down to number two with us bringing a more experienced keeper he can learn off for a season or two before coming back in. Sods law will see him develop into a much better keeper with that lot and see him move on for big bucks in a few years.
  4. Brentford aren't the types to pay top dollar usually but to be fair the Venkies, they usually don't sell unless its top dollar bids coming in.
  5. Just to add to my inittial reaction. Look, you have called people deluded, just for having a bad feeling about a transfer window that is of yet, to come to the fruition that you have (in your opinion) will satisfy us. Have we not been here before? Can we not discuss our opinions? Is there really a daily message board meltdown as you put it? Can you happy pill popping ,melodramatics please just for a day or two, let a messgaboard be what it is, a message board where people air their opinions 1 Ill say it now - Biz, Sb and Bigdog will like your your post. I don't even know if i am a negative or positive anymore - but its getting to the point where people cannot even air their opinions without getting attacked by either group. Aslo, you;re going to get rounded on if we dont sign some defenders following what you said in your post.
  6. Tired of posters tha appear once a year just to pop off at people.
  7. Agree with this - how many City, Chelsea youngsters go on to have big careers? to date of course? Every now and again a diamond is found among the dirt, ala Duff, Dunn etc. but in the main, you're developing players that are pretty much avaerage. its only a few that make it to first team level let alone top flight level. yopu get obvious exceptions like Owen, Rooney etc but in the main, nah. You cannot expect yearly supertars
  8. So just a quick drunken squipm through - nothing of muchness right?
  9. But this would then have to be the same in all sports. How about athletics? Any woman that can run as fast as Usain Bolt could? Rugby? Boxing? We are two fundamentally different genders but physically men are bigger and stronger. Snooker, darts or motoracing, sports that dont have too much physicality, sure, but women as much as it pains me to say, will never be able to compete in physical orientated sports to the same level as men.
  10. Was plenty of debate about Payne a few pages before you posted your link.
  11. That Mason Mount for one is top quality - now that would a be a loan signing id have here in a heartbeat. He will be off to another promotion chasing Championship side though. But yeah, probably the right fit for Chelsea right now. Not allowed to sign players, will have little choice but to work with some of the 300 youth players on their books - why pay top dollar for a big name when they wont be signing anyone? They basically just need a coach.
  12. Though I like the little lad - signing him would make me feel even more uneasy about the future of Dack at this football club.
  13. Exactly. Conway made his mind up fairly quickly so that the club could move to get him replaced. I know he is not contractually obliged to be here but he should have made his mind up either way by now as by not doing so he is slowing down his own fitness levels if he does sign or slowing things down for the club in order to fill his place in the squad.
  14. https://www.examinerlive.co.uk/sport/football/news/released-huddersfield-town-midfielder-could-16493357 Worth a read if not only for the surname of the journalist. Think it could be just lazy reporting - linked with half the football league in there.
  15. Is that where he is on 'holiday', Italy? Coincidence much?
  16. We took him when nobody else would touch him, so this doesn't go down to well at all. Looked a cut above at times but uninterested in others (and not a CB) but to not make your mind up and take an extended holiday while the rest of the players are reporting for duty shows a big lack of respect.
  17. He has played a few times up front but yeah, primarily he is more a winger here under TM. I think it would be fair to day that plenty in the squad could learn a thing or two from such an experienced player. Just previously read a tweet from Chapman about how he is buzzing the Downing is here and he cant wait to continue learning from him.
  18. Who has been saying this anyway? I thought they have been saying it about Chapman, not Armstrong.
  19. Doubt anyone could have any arguments to be fair - it got a little personal. I think I could make out 3 maybe 4 of who would have got bans. None are permanent i hope though.
  20. He has looked good in spells up front but a lone striker in the system (we currently play) is not ideal for him. If we knocked it around on the ground it could work. In a 4-4-2 with a partner he would be good too.
  21. Thought that might have just been the last hour lol
  22. He does love a player that can play just about anywhere. Thats why I am surprised (if hes not) that we dont seem to be in for Chuks Aneke. Can play anywhere across the front four and in CM. https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2019/06/19/who-is-chuks-aneke-five-facts-about-the-mk-dons-midfielder-being/
