  1. Leeds head into the play-offs on the back of a defeat as bottom club Ipswich seal a thrilling victory despite going down to 10 men and seeing Kemar Roofe blaze his penalty over at 2-2!
  2. Found that quote to be a bit odd too. Doesnt want to lose a dead rubber to blood a few kids but seemingly wasn't bothered about going for a win with the L1 title at stake.
  3. Conway at his best was an average Championship player? Nah, at his best he was among the best in the championship in his position - especially for assists. Ask Gestede if he rated Conway. He hasnt been at that level for the last couple of seasons admittedly but when you consider some of the shite thats been through our club, Conway is at least someone that gave it his best whenever called upon.
  4. Did i read 'a skinny Dennis Bergkamp'? I thought he was skinny himself.
  5. If we have to sell a Dack because we bought a Brereton, there is something very wrong with recruitment.
  6. Exactly, it's easy to lump this all on the agent but the player has the power to ignore him. Its been obvious we were keen on him for a season, he rejects a new contract - so if he really wanted to come here, it would have just required some sort of gentleman's agreement for when the window opens up. Agent obviously been in his ear saying I can get you this and that and the player is lapping it up. Needs to prove that he can even perform at this level before he can command bigger wages. Besides, sounds as if TM doesn't rate him as good enough to go straight into the team anyway - which is saying something considering those we currently have in front of him.
  7. If true then this Bauer already sounds like a bit of billy big balls. He aint even played at this level before but thinks he should be earning the bigger bucks. Saying the right things again if he is aiming for better.
  8. Brad Potts, Jayden Stockley and to a lesser extent Joe Rafferty
  9. That club up the road made a number of sensible signings in January which helped to push them up the league while we went in the opposite direction. What was it, from 7 points ahead of them to 7 points behind them or something? Sure, they've faltered lately and finishing above them is all we have to aim for now. Even if the right players werent available or too expensive, we could have at least brought in a couple on loan - specifically at the back.
  10. Martin Ollsson Our own Danny Graham James Thomas Chris Coleman
  11. Back to the TM that is endearing to fans. Some of his ramblings in the second half of the season were odd at best. Classics like Reed is not as good as Evans and Smallwood and is why he's not playing centrally spring to mind.
  12. That's the sort of tough as nails CB we need but think we're looking at up to 4-5 million for that one. Signed new contract in December and is not short of admirers. Very similar to Lenihan in terms of age and experience in the Championship and League 1 and I wouldn't be happy for letting him go at 5 million.
  13. Also, having emigrated to the UK at age 9 to be with his mother, would there have ever been a chance that he could represent England at any point? Not sure on the rules etc but he has spent most of his life in this country. Perhaps he realised playing for England was unlikely to happen so has opted now to play for Namibia.
  14. Yeah but so many in such a short space of time with no reinvestment coming back in. Gestede, Rhodes, Cairney, Hanley, Duffy, Ollson, Marshall, King Then we bought Williams for like 100k.
  15. Totally agree. Well, he's done his loyalty part - kept his end of the bargain up. I really expect some first team signings back there now, none of this to 'back up what we already have'. Direct competition for Nyambe (no more Bennett back there), a new LB as both of ours are not good enough, and a minimum of one CB (idealy two). Raya is a bit of a strange one as before he got that kick to the face, he looked like he was progressing but since then, not sure if connected, but the number of errors has increased. Definitely needs some direct competition.
  16. Have to admit I watched it about 5 times too. His finger bashing on the table was a favourite part of mine. Defenders (bash), well I have no defense. New defenders are coming (bash). In no uncertain terms he has said that the're not good enough collectively at this level. Its completely right though, how many goals were down to individual errors from the likes of Williams, Bell, Raya and Mulgrew this season? You could argue that the way we've set up a lot has invited pressure on them too but they should be doing better. Also, how many times did we bottle it collectively in the last 15 minutes? Going from winning to losing in a matter of minutes - thats mental strength if you ask me.
  17. Quite clear he is not lumping Lenihan in with the rest of the 'defense' having said he wants to keep Dack and Lenihan as his best players. Think Mulgrews days may be numbered, in the first eleven at least. Cb or two, a LB and some competition for Nyambe at RB please.
  18. He deserves to yes and Id definitely bring him on so he can finish the match but we need to be planning for next season now. We know what DG can do and need to see if Breo can realistically be a challenger for the striker position next season.
  19. This but id be starting Breo up front. Lets see this more dynamic style of play.
  20. Dont be so modest - you're preview was great . As was Philip's of course.
  21. Keep with the more attacking lineups of late and the more fluid style of play and FINALLY correcting our defensive needs in the coming window (as well as a new LB, Gk, and striker) and he wins me back I'm kind of on the fence anyway - its a tough call when you consider the good he has done for this club. That run though and the loyalty to players that were hurting the team drove me crazy.
