  1. I read their boards and according to a few of them they should be aiming for auto-promotion. I did not see much of last season or even know much about them but have they really spent or created a team capable to have that kind of ambition? They had a few handy players though - that Ollie Watkinds looked very good and that banarama guy that surprisingly went off seemed to be very good.
  2. I already gave my OWN opinion on the game without stealing other peoples comments.
  3. Press enter somewhere around the middle of that ? Otherwise a cracking post.
  4. This is whats annoying - another poster long ago said this and you have jut blalanlty copied it - do you ever have your own opinion?
  5. Imperative we strengthen in the next week. Need to build on this as the fabulous work ethic, never-say-die attitude and confidence that the squad has might just give us our best shot at a playoffs push we have had since coming down from the PL. Getting ahead of myself I know but if we can navigate the next few difficult games and somehow get some decent points on the board and bring int he players needed, you just never know.
  6. TM has created a team that works so hard, never gives up and plays for eachother. I did not think we stood a chance before kickoff and yes, we rode our luck at times but boy did these boys these boys put everything in for the shirt. So proud of them - terrific result considering injuries and a lack of depth. Bennett - unbelievable engine. Rothwell - Another great game and he will be pushing for a permanent starting plce even when we are full strength. Evans - Another good game. Both fullbacks - see above. Raya some fantastic stops. Palmer showed some flashes of skill and took his goal well. Lenihan and Mulgrew assured, Crossbar - MOM
  7. Cant keep up with this transfer. 6 mill is alot better than the 12 and 14 we were told but there will be addons and clauses attached too. Would just be happy to have a striker in, we have just started a Championship game with Nuttall upfront ffs.
  8. Just going with what we have. I want Rothwell in CM so who else considering injuries do we have to put where i placed Bennett? Conway? lol
  9. As TM says - judge him on the pitch - thats all we can do really. Up to the kid (not really a kid anymore) to prove the doubters wrong. This is either gonna be a masterstroke or at the minimum a low-level mistake. Cant see him displacing Mulgrew or Lenihan at Cb anyway. The fact that we have a load of Mackems coming here does tell you that he has pissed them off royally and we have had plenty of hate figures ourselves in recent times. Be interesting how this plays out.
  10. Biggest test of the season so far with or without Maupay. I like our team spirit though and think if we can start on the front foot, we could do something here. I predicted a few days ago 2-1 to us and will stick to it. I think Dack (probably start, feel TM might be playing them on him) will play a part and we have Palmer too. Armstrong a loss with his pace but I think that is more effective away from home. I would like Rothwell in CM at home, no need for two defensive CMS., Raya Nyambe Lenihan Mulgrew Bell Evans Rothwell Bennett Dack Palmer Graham
  11. Still think Raya will become a top keeper but I am not going to ignore his weaknesses. This is what really does my head in on here sometimes. You are not allowed to point out when players make mistakes without being attacked for being negative. One poster went over the top about he needs to be replaced and suddenly Raya is a scapegoat. This is one damn opinion.
  12. Surpsie surprise, See what you did there Sylaa
  13. Exactly - in talks with the great Fleetwood. Great player in his prime and hope he does well for them but if he had anything more to offer he wouldnt still be a free agent.
  14. okay, but you agreed with it though - so what is the difference?
  15. Next question would be why has nobody else snapped him up yet.
  16. One random poster made a comment and now Raya is a scapegoat.
  17. Who the hell is making Raya a scapegoat? You dont half go to extremes Chaddy!
  18. Know one is really trying to justify the signing - its a low-cost gamble for a signing and even that that has divided us fans. Doesnt do the job he will be offski, proves to be decent and he might get a better contract. We are just trying to understand you guys viewpoint. We have a few hate figures here ourselves such as Bradley Whore, Leon Guest and that fckin mug Danny Murphy who recently stated that he couldnt understand footballers not giving their all (after he came here on a retirement package earning a shed load and did fck all until we had to pay him off). As I said to your other fan (you are both a well-mannered and put across good posts), i dont understand this losing record with him, i can understand pinning him as lazy, out of form, bad attitude or injury-prone but to blame losing all those matches on one player from a team of 11 just sounds ludicrous. Anyway, im just going down teritory I have already said with the other guy - so might just be easier to go and find that lol. Good luck for the season - you will have great fun in League 1.
  19. Our previous record fee buys an experienced England international and multiple PL winner with shed loads of goals to his name - this one gets a player with 50 championship games and 10 goals but has potential.
  20. Why can is he 5th choice at QPR then with their fans laughing at the prospect of us taking him on. Hell they are bottom of the league.
  21. I put it before - but this does not look good.
  22. Was in the local QPR rag before Nixon even piped up.
