  1. No i agree with you Matty was just surmising reasons why thats all. In a 'normal' season there would probably no pay on the day. At least this way they re catering for all fans circumstances. As for numbers maybe less pay on the day especially as its Cash Only (now thats bizarre) which i think will slow things down when you really want to keep congestion to a minmum.
  2. Maybe keeping the options open for those that want to leave a decision to until the day. With covid restrictions changing ( 7 days isolation instead of 10 with two neg tests) some wont know until the day whether they can actually go or not. Plus the ultra cautious who just want to know they re negative before buying a ticket and knowing they can actually attend and not waste money by buying in advance . Sign of the times ..
  3. Any chance we can knock this Chris Wood talk on the head before Nicko gets hold of it and suddenly becomes gospel ?!!
  4. We ve 21 games to play yet ..you re talking like were down to the last 6..!! Long way to go with many a twist n turn ..
  5. £27 for adults, £18 for Over-65s and £13 for Under-18s.
  6. Yep ..remember Rotherham last season . 10 games crammed into 28 days at the end of the season ..and went down.
  7. This could be good news ..Anthony martial would prefer to join Sevilla next month according to Sky. That would possibly rule out one of the clubs that have been heavily touted in signing BBD.
  8. EFL clubs beg Football League to introduce mandatory tests for Covid NOW | Daily Mail Online Sounds to me like the twice a week testing at clubs had been stopped long time ago. More testing ..more postponements looming. Can see a break in the league schedule anytime soon.
  9. Im also happy JH with what the club are trying to do...its a good start. Most on here were going overboard in their praise to Stanley giving away free shirts to Primary kids over the last few seasons. We re going one better by actually getting the kids on the ground... and... whilst having a little success on the field. Its a taste of match day football for the kids ..got to start somewhere! For all Stanleys initiatives with the free shirts etc they still can t muster 2000 home fans and are more than happy to give over half the ground to Away supporters... I would still like the club to lay on subsidised Bus travel to home games from different areas in and around Blackburn and areas like Accrington Great Harwood Ossy and the Ribble Valley ..maybe giving those younger fans a chance of actually getting to Ewood safely without being denied the chance because Mum or Dad dont want to or cant afford to go.
  10. Is all about the rolling of the RRRRRRRR ..Rhoticity Accrington and Rawtenstall all still roll their R's yet step five mile to Burnley and they completely drop the R. Rhoticity in Lancashire: Preston to Colne | Welcome to SWPhonetics Im Accy and worked in Burnley and they couldnt get over how differently i spoke them!
  11. Oh i agree Matty. The point im making is we ve gone to not seeing a 3pm game on tv ,to seeing illegal streams ,to seeing Red button games and finally PPV games on Saturdays at ..3pm. The initial argument was to make no games available due to the impact on clubs match day revenues. Thats slowly been 'forgotten about' over the years so its more than plausible that at some point 3pm games will be shown via different PPV platforms.
  12. Already snuck in the RED button on Sky feature and also the pay per view for to watch games on Saturday Matty ..now other platforms ie Amazon etc see a chance to get involved. Clubs get paid enough they will consider it .
  13. EFL threat to end 3pm Saturday TV blackout and screen every match live in all three divisions | Daily Mail Online Rovers may as well sell Ewood and play their games down at the training ground if this happens because there will be no f@cker in the ground regardless of price !
  14. Reading the article JH sounds to me like the full 16 M wasnt required to clear FFP?. Sharpe says it gaves us 'headroom' which to me sounds it was more than enough to clear it and more. Sounds like they may have banked a bit for another rainy in the future!! ! Also Armstrong sale came too late and will be used in the next financial year ? Totally agree with you though financially we are a mess !
  15. Looking very business-like ..suit bag etc ..be interesting to know who else was in his entourage!
