  1. Yes it was a very good intro but the "Raw Is War" intro blew it away...no pun intended. There should be explosions in whatever intro they use it is on TNT after all.
  2. Maybe the "king of Preston" comment was suggesting that Bauer would be happier at a smaller club with less pressure whereas coming to Ewood would be more intimidating. Some players are like that look at Kevin Davies and Per Frandsen both performed well at Bolton Wanderers but couldn't cope here. Davies probably couldn't have even tied his bootlaces right at the time.
  3. Sometimes promoted clubs aren't ready or at least take time to get used to a higher level. Wolves in 2003 would be a clear case and while Rovers playing well was part of it they were completely off the pace in that 5-1 defeat. Of course there's a big difference between the jump they made and the one Charlton Athleic have made especially when they are somewhat used to the Championship as a club.
  4. As Sunderland found out not everyone is a Jermain Defoe type.
  5. Yeah that pretty much sums it up in 6 words.
  6. Indeed. Only have to look at the guy to see that. People can make up all the tired excuses for him they want. Injury proneness isn't entirely his fault I suppose but it's not exactly a prize attribute is it?
  7. He's a grade A hypocrite.
  8. It's Sky who have a lovefest most people probably don't give a toss about them. Now if Orient v Newport had been on Tv with a tribute to Justin Edinburgh that would have been the right thing to do. Of course they have already shown their nefarious intentions by picking Salford's first league game instead. Personally I don't like a club "owned" by retired Man United players (as if it's not Lim putting all the real money in) and my contempt is as justified as Leeds fans feel but it's not the same for everyone on here is it?
  9. They can hardly complain. I can't recall the exact time (probably a couple of years ago) that a leaflet advertising their season tickets came through my letterbox. Why on earth anyone in Blackburn would go to watch Preston who knows? At the moment though why would people in Preston go to Ewood? Being a much bigger club isn't significant enough alone at the moment. I've quoted this before but in 1998 Williams said "we must see ourselves as being Lancashire". What happened after Jack died? Small town this, small town that. Not that I'm bothered but have the EFL changed rules on promoting in other areas? Accrington's owner Dolt was complaining not long ago wasn't he even though there's more Rovers fans there than Accrington ST holders.
  10. Ste U‏ @Ste_Uren 57m57 minutes ago More Replying to @CountyPodcast @Aldehulme “Who we picking then?” “Well Leyton Orient won the league last year to return after a recent demise and lost a hugely popular person in football in recent weeks. It would be a great tribute” “But what about Salford?” “Agreed, stick Salford on” Craig Williamson‏ @craig4271 19h19 hours ago More Replying to @SkyBetLeagueTwo @TheNationalLge and 4 others Leyton Orient win the title yet Salford v Stevenage shown live!!. What an insult to Justin Edinburgh Mike Rotchburns‏ @seeingredonline 24h24 hours ago More That really is fucking shocking from Sky having Salford on first. Orient have just lost Justin Edinburgh, are back in the league, came up as champions, are at home the first game, and they put Salford on instead, solely because of the manc links.
  11. Should point out there is actually a Southern section and MK have been drawn with Wimbledon. So if I'm correct in saying there will be 2 games selected for televised coverage the other choice also seems obvious.
  12. Even the (or one of) Yorkshire Evening Post football reporter covering Leeds thinks they fixed it. I suppose they would have put Salford City on against any Championship side at home. Hopefully Leeds fans trash the place.
  13. Where is it?
  14. Pretty sure the only clause was the one that was conveniently leaked to Man United by Jones and his representatives. Considering reports suggested Rovers were paid more because of that dispute (over the minimum when Liverpool were believed to have offered more not knowing the exact figure) can't imagine there's any sell on clause. Plus if the clown is involved in a swap deal as you say the situation appears moot.
  15. Some of the work that Sodexo have done at Everton FC. I've said in the past (more to have a dig at Northchoke than anything and new ownership hasn't changed certain people who work there) that they are a much bigger company than NC will ever be. http://www.isportconnect.com/sodexo-goodison-parks-retail-revolution-2/
  16. Hopefully the cretin gets what he deserves and that's just for FUP alone.
  17. Arranged fixture with Marseille soon and won't be at Accrington's "stadium" due to pitch improvements or something. Thought news was going to say Ewood but it will be in Salford (at a rugby ground not Salford City) which is better as allowing them to play at Ewood would have annoyed me especially after insulting Jack recently.
  18. Below minimum wage in Northchoke's case. At least until they were caught. Sodexo (or sodexho as it was then) were the previous holders of the executive catering contract. Before Matthewman's friends took over in 2001.
  19. Mislead by Eriksson that he was going to be picked as well. Not like Eriksson to do that to anyone is it? ?
  20. Hard to judge people if they are concussed. Not the best at breaking down matches but I knew something was odd after the chokeslam ended it. My ending would have been Hell's Gate for the victory. Wasn't certain that Undertaker would win incase of a rematch but pretty obvious that won't be happening now. Goldberg looked like he was in good shape (he's never had long matches anyway) and even if Undertaker is broken down he's still better than most of the roster. If anything that's embarrassing for them or maybe it's not as the Undertaker has such presence alone it's hard to top. Undertaker's probably more likely to wrestle again so it makes total sense to give him the win without any rematch. I was slightly concerned as Goldberg's been sloppy in the past but it looks like Undertaker's OK. Goldberg was the one concussed of course but that didn't appear to be Undertaker's fault and Goldberg didn't "tuck his head" for the tombstone so who's fault is that? Perhaps if he was already concussed that's why but there's moves far more dangerous than the Tombstone which are allowed. People will moan about no women's matches, etc but I still can't think of any that stand out much anyway. I'm no fan of toplists (lazy journalism) but none are in my top 500 that's for sure. Anyone moaning about that can explain why they don't watch Rovers women. It's not like I have issues with women's wrestling for most part (trish, lita and of course Chyna wouldn't have had issues being used on my shows) but none of the current bunch really stand out. Neither do the men really skipped most of the show as I was bored after a couple of matches. I certainly don't mind HHH wrestling (or Orton who has presence and a good finisher) but had a feeling it might be lengthy as Undertaker/Goldberg wasn't expected to go long. Likes of Observer readers lost their opportunity to get on their "high horse" when they voted to keep wife/child murderers in their HOF (granted a large number voted against as well) primarily because he was their workrate darling. Beyond that there seems to be no real backlash and it only became publicised last time to such an extent because of the journalist being killed so soon before. Do the same people taking issue with WWE take such issue with the World Cup being in Qatar or so many other business relations with Saudi Arabia in general? Not as much it seems for certain people. The World Cup in Russia was a success (suppose some people would see it that way just because England nearly reached the final) perhaps Qatar will surprise as well. AEW aren't in a position yet to attract such money (no reason either really from Saudi point of view since they already have WWE) but you really think they wouldn't have taken it? Many people are guilty of hypocrisy and double standards (including myself in some cases unless you want to go and be a missionary or something like that who isn't?) and that's the case here.
  21. Not to mention Jack was generous enough to allow Accrington to play at Ewood during the 94-95 season! At that time they were truly a bunch of cloggers probably playing in the North Western Trains League or worse. Celebrating their centenary or something like that (even though the original club went bust) the game is on Youtube. Full strength except Shearer as well not a bunch of youth/reserves. Maybe Dolt should remember that.
  22. Raos haven't left.
  23. Too many skeletons where this issue is concerned as well.
  24. Yeah. With such illustrious venues as Rochdale and Bury to visit can't see anyone bothering with this one.
  25. Maybe that's why there's no exhibition between the clubs in pre-season. Then again maybe it isn't but there shouldn't be while dolt Holt is there. It's a waste of time anyway as I've gone into several times in the past including the pre-season thread recently. I've seen Holt on twitter (mainly through Duncan M's retweets or responses) it's like he wants people to talk about how great he is, etc. I don't think he's as humble as some think.
