For me, the Davenport signing is looking a little longer term. Him and Travis on paper should be a great partnership for years to come but I think Travis perhaps needs a loan at least until January to get used to starting men’s football regularly. It’s been overlooked by many, but we need an upgrade in CM right now. Davenport will probably be playing sooner rather than later but we can be doing better than Evans and Richie in this department. At least a bit more experienced, specialist competition.

I’m not usually the type to do this.... But after watching the replays I think Williams should be the one to deal with BOTH goals and Edwards, whilst of course he was great, absolutely had him on toast... frustrating because he often offers so much, started getting better going forwards, got the assist, and his graft is exceptional. Up and down game from him certainly.

That’s the crux of it for me really, streaming isn’t going anywhere and there’s always one to watch nowadays - even in League One. I’d happily pay a subscription to the club as I can’t make most games, but until then I’ll just be a crim.

Sunderland at the moment looking to be suffering from a similar shell shock that we were last season. If their crowd turns it could get funny. Long way to go yet though. Think Charlton are a decent side even with all of the back room troubles.

I think Lampard will be fine if given time. And when I say fine, I mean a perfectly serviceable manager at this level. Would still like to see him struggle a bit though, the rhetoric coming from Match of The Day types was that he was taking a step down and starting in a pub league!

Oh I’m all for getting an “ultras” or singing section. But it should be BBurn end to get songs started. Supporting the team, not just staring at away fans thinking they’re ten men and getting drowned out.

Nothing more tinpot than a small group of lads giving it large to away support.

I didn’t see many Birmingham games last season tbh so you’d know better I suppose. He’s not top of my list, but I’d be willing to give him a chance to see what he could do for us now.

Agree on the quality but I think the intensity of the game is much higher in this league. Just got to get up to the speed of it and then we’ll be cushty. Derby nowt to come on this showing.
