If its now as good as set in stone that none of these players are going to be accepting their new contract offers and the club aren't going to budge further on the improving the offers... then really imo there's no point at all playing them from now onwards(never mind from the end of tge year) as the players hearts won't truly be in it especially when their backs are against the wall and also they'll be in sel preservation mode trying to avoid getting injured(pulling out of tackles, ect...) Personally id like to see Brereton and Rothwell sign new deals and they're both worth making them the highest paid at the club if that's what it takes. Lenihan, nyambe I couldn't really care less about although replacing them with(replacing all of them even!) with like for like quality would be ridiculously expensive so surely cheaper just to just give them much improved contracts, which would then also raise there transfer values should they still want to leave down the line.

I guess maybe this is just the kind of slimy unprofessional thing that those 'exec types' that use the prawn sandwich rooms on a regular basis do, they're a different breed from the average working class punter.

the thing is, I and i think many people would have chose that side pretty much from the start of the season!! its Mowbray thats only just decided to go thay way,give it a couple of games though and then compare the starting line ups again and you can bet he will have reverted back to his usual square peg, round hole aproach...

we've some brilliant young players, similar to the talented young squad Souness took over way back when.... Only this squad doesnt have the nessary senior experianced players in the squad to hold it all together(ala flitcroft, short, hughes...) match after match or a manager with the determination, grit and know how of Souness

I am very happy to see Poveda and Davenport and Khadra get a start for once though and show what they are capable of (though yes I'm aware fitness isues are what kept Khadra out of contention for a little while)

as has been pointed out in the past... our win ratio without Lenihan is more to do with the complete lack of any real quality in our 'back up' defenders when he doesn't play.

This is precisely what causes the frustration. Our squad just needs a couple of quality defensive signings(a proven centre back especially) plus maybe a nippy striker and we have one of the best squads in the league when most are fit! They're just crying out for a quality hungry manager with something to prove and a bit of charisma about them

it is just bizare that aside from scott dann under the venks we have never paid a decent sum for a ready made established centre back! and keep relying on mediocre cbs coming through the youth system. Ayala is probably the only decent other one we signed and he's probably one of our highest earners, but with his injury & fitness record he's hardly a player you can rely on and use as a foundation to build a team on.

Ive no idea mate, but id be more than happy to see what fans from others platforms, sites etc... want. I even believe it would be tipped more in mowbrays favour if the LT commenters and official rovers page commenters chose an option (but then there are a lot of sheep dolloping about that just cant handle the anxiety that change gives them) not sure what the15000+ silent fans lost over the last 10 years would want though.
