  1. TM: “I don’t want to be critical of them, they’re a great set of lads...” Ok, then don’t. Be at least a little critical of yourself, and your staff.
  2. This is all so much failure. We have a crap product, rendered so by TM’s madcap leadership. The players deserve better, maybe that’s why it appears there is some dissatisfaction today. Wycombe, now Wednesday, I’m too sick at heart to think about this anymore.
  3. I’d like to see players play today who are signed & we are counting on next season. One exception to this, play Elliott the rest of the season. He seems to have enjoyed his experience at Rovers (read: he’s received playing time to his satisfaction), and he makes things happen. I favor Lenihan, if he’s fit.
  4. Agreed, on this one not being easy. I still love wins. Mowbray is no master motivator, but he needs to light a fire under the lads. Also, play Elliott & Arma on wings, Gallagher in the middle.
  5. Exactly! This is what I’m talking about! The fans still love the club. I’m a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, but I still remember when the Packers played some games every year at Milwaukee County stadium...Lambeau stadium wasn’t that big at the time, and the board didn’t believe there were enough fans to sustain a club in Green Bay forever! LoL
  6. This is what it means to be a fan, a die-hard, sticking to the club & loving the shirt no matter what goes on from within, or without. I’m an American, so everything from my point of view is different than many of you. I’m no Chicago Cubs fan, but I admire a fan base that can not only stand by their club, but pack the park for 100 years between championships. That is love for the club. Rovers have a smaller fan base than the bigger English clubs, but there is a core of fans who are loyal & will be totally “all in” at whatever point new leadership- the right leadership- arrives. I chose to support Blackburn Rovers. I had no prior history with English football prior to 2012. Blackburn Rovers are the Green Bay Packers of the EFL- based in a small town, and surrounded by other, bigger clubs vying for a big piece of the pie, but Rovers have a history that makes it an attractive club. The Packers went a long time between NFL championships/Super Bowls, too! (from 1967 to 1996)
  7. Harv Elliott about the only sign of life on this team, and he goes back to Merseyside in 4 games. Even if Arma leaves, I believe we could score goals next season, with Gally up front, BB & Dolan on wings, a healthy Travis & JR-C, etc. IF the current manager leaves, and the right manager comes in. A big IF, there!
  8. I hope we survive these wackos substitutions
  9. Memento of better days, my trip to Ewood, September 2019
  10. It is obvious our manager and coaches have no clue what to do. The players appear disinterested, and ready for the season to end. Therefore... not because I don’t love the Rovers, or the good camaraderie here at BRFCS; but, until we get at least a point- at home- I see no use to post anymore. There is nothing left unsaid. Fans aren’t allowed at Ewood, and I live in Texas anyway, so my little protest will be my silence. COYB, & Mowbray out. Tony, please do the honorable thing, and step down. Give us our team back. Then, I will have some respect for you.
  11. Just some honesty post-game would help me draw some kind of positive from this farce. Tony doesn’t have to say anything about the players. If Tony would just admit, “I’m stinking horrible as a manager”, I could feel somewhat better.
  12. On a lighter note- rovers chat talking about, “The English Game”. I’ve enjoyed the first six episodes immensely.
  13. What is our plan on free kicks- Kick it to the masses, and remain upright doing so?
  14. Nothing left to be said. Rovers are a mess under this “leadership”, and have been for some time.
  15. The long-term interests of the club are most important. I’m most fearful of relegation next year. But, failing to pick up even a point vs Wycombe is alarming, for the rest of this season. As I said earlier, I had us getting 9 pts in our last 7. But, I’m not seeing anything close to that after Wycombe.
  16. Oh, I always want a Rovers win... it’s just that with one win in 13, I have to squash my wants, so I will not be disappointed when we lose again. And again... and again... etc
  17. You may be right, but isn’t it in Rovers’ best interest to showcase the man that could bring in a much needed transfer fee? I repent of my statement in a previous thread of Rovers getting some incredible points tally of 9 in the last 7. What an absurd prediction, even for one of the biggest sunshine-pumpers on this board. We lose, 2-0. More TM platitudes to endure.
  18. Guys on at the end of the game won't be here next season... Downing took a corner, which was fluffed by a underachiever. Manager doesn't leave his seat. Best young players are out of contract. Best DF is a loaner. Best winger is a loaner. Best forward will be sold. Best MF, has his 2nd season-ending knee injury in two years. I mean, if ever there was a team that needed a total rebuild, manager on down, this is it. But, mostly manager. What a dismal state of affairs.
  19. Absolutely. Btw, Derby, Forest, & Preston could all pass us on the table on Monday.
  20. I agree 100%. There just doesn’t appear to be any enthusiasm or passion from him, that carries over to everybody. I’m not advocating Ainsworth, but he has all the passion & fire that Mowbray lacks. His players lack the quality of the majority of ours, but he gets more from them.
  21. We are horrible defending set-pieces. We are horrible taking set-pieces. The midfield is a keystone kops affair. Our best defenders are loaners, as well as our best winger. Forwards are atrocious. The team gets no help or even emotion from the manager, or his stuff. Absolutely abysmal, my low point as a Rovers fan since coming aboard in 2013.
  22. Two weeks to prepare, and the team plays like this. A huge reason a change is needed.
  23. Even without Travis, Dack & Arma, I expected better. Then I remembered, Mowbray is still in charge. Terrible showing today
