  1. All I saw was Haaland did NOT score. Annesley must’ve had a good game.
  2. Yep...Danny boy scored, then ManUre had to bring in Zlatan & Pogba to win it
  3. We will pick up several loose points now, playing the catfish teams of the division. Making Rovers appear better than they are, but we still won’t get enough to finish higher than 12th.
  4. Well-won point, well-deserved. Great job, lads!
  5. If Tony plays him, he will score😂
  6. This is really been a good effort so far today, just need to play it more forward, and find somebody, anybody, who can finish. Rovers not winning possession for once, but still have more shots on goal (albeit, a couple from long range).
  7. Meanwhile, Forest got a point vs Brentford. Surprising, really. Toney scoring on a pk was not a surprise, though.
  8. Yes, I have much more confidence in our defenders, but they are going to be really busy today.
  9. Unreal. Why would he want to start the guy, is beyond me.
  10. It will be interesting to see his starting 11 today- it should be fairly easy, TM knows by now who gives 100% and who looks like they’d rather stay on the bus.
  11. I wasn’t a fan then. I know they were a PL team when bought, but I also know that is no magic formula to making money... buying an English football team can be a very costly hobby, despite the prestige of ownership. The figures I just checked (2017-2018), 7 clubs lost money, before taxes, & 3 basically broke even. So, essentially half the PL clubs don’t make money. Having a team in the Championship, is very expensive. I would assume losses since 2012 are upwards of £300 mil. If anyone has Rovers’ bottom-line figures since 2001, I’d be interested to see them.
  12. Y’know, I don’t understand the owners at this level. When they bought the team, were they not just a little bit fans of the club? Maybe I’m assuming that they don’t care about the game to game fortunes of Blackburn Rovers, but it just seems to me they could’ve bought any number of clubs and not paid any attention to them. The Rao’s are astute at business, right? Surely, they knew buying an EFL club wasn’t going to result in added millions to their coffers. If I cared enough to invest £22 mil (I think that was the purchase price), I would certainly want to share in its joys/heartaches, as I would assume I was not going to make any money off Rovers.
  13. If this happens, I am afraid to see TM post-game, grinning like a gargoyle. Even our relegation season, Rovers offed champs Newcastle, by identical 1-0 scores. Small consolation.
  14. During our recent, poor run of results (since February 6), we are 1-3-7. Thats 6 points of 33 possible. Rovers have scored a puny 8 goals, and incredibly, only allowed 13. During the month of March, we were 1-2-2. Five points out of 15. Rovers defence allowed only three goals, never two in one game, not terrible defending. Tomorrow will be a heroic effort, alas, to fall short, 0-1. The lads are trying, the effort is there, but they aren’t getting any help from TM & staff. If ever there was a team giving a great effort, without receiving much direction, it’s this one. Sad state of affairs, indeed.
  15. This is what I have never understood; we loan out two of our own, then bring in two loaners, one of which isn’t as good as who we loaned out ... if we have people who can correctly identify talent, how does this make any sense? Financial or otherwise?
  16. So, our final 9- March 20, at Norwich L April 2, at Wycombe W April 5, B’mouth L April 10, at Cardiff L April 17, Derby W April 20, at Wednesday T April 24, H’fld T May 1, at Rotherham T May 8, B’ham W I don’t bet, but if I did, I am counting on useless points at the end of a throwaway season vs 6 lackluster, catfish teams. I think I am being very generous here- expecting this team, under this manager, to secure 12 points in 9 fixtures. But, that’s indicative of the void we have right now as far as an underachieving club, with an under motivated and tired manager.
  17. I wish you were right; unfortunately, nothing will change until seasons end. Probably not even then.
  18. I would say this resembled a steaming pile of horse manure, but at least manure has a purpose. Another manager could take 4-5 of our existing players, add castoffs from Championship clubs, and 1 or 2 from league 1, and we have a top 10 side. I fail to see what TM accomplished the last 10 games, except to grow our fans apathy.
  19. Has Mowbray thrown the team under the bus yet
  20. 74% poss, but one less shot on target than BC.
