  1. Yes they have "a decent sell on fee" according to Peterborough's Chairman. Would guess it will be 15-20% of any profit made, just on thee basis of that is what nearly all sell on fees are. But whatever the amount is, Darragh MacAnthony will be shouting it in pounds and pence from the rooftops shortly after it happens, as it is what he does, as evidenced by the linked article If you are asking why Peterborough have a sell on, it is because it is standard practice to include them, even Rovers do it, as inept as they are (see the Raya add ons)
  2. If Rovers were to bring in a right back/wing back on loan, I could see Leo Duru really benefitting from a League 1 loan. 19 year old, quick, good with the ball, tore up PL2 in the second half of last season, but firmly behind Brittan at Rovers and his development may stagnate without regular first team football at this stage. Can see him getting a start tomorrow night for Rovers
  3. He jumped ship from Liverpool to come here a couple of years ago because they saw him as a wide forward but he wanted to play more as a central midfielder https://www.empireofthekop.com/2022/08/25/blackburn-rovers-complete-coup-as-permanent-signing-joins-from-liverpool-and-becomes-latest-to-head-from-merseyside-to-lancashire/
  4. It is, but Rooney has an uncanny knack of regressing every team he touches
  5. How does Wayne Rooney keep finding work? Plymouth look awful, Whitaker looks a shadow of the player he was last season, Hardie, Cooper and Bali Mumba, who looked like some of their better players last season are all on the bench, and most of his new signings look like they are confused as to what a football actually is The really bizarre thing is that surely most people expected this, apart from seemingly those who employ Rooney in the first place
  6. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2024/august/11/report--everton-under-21s-0-3-rovers-under-21s/ U21s won again 3-0 away at Everton
  7. suspect that's a recency bias that a lot of us hold, as Neil mentioned a couple of posts back, he never properly recovered from last seasons injury, (think he may have had it recur twice)
  8. And they are owned by the 6th richest owners in the Prem Ipswich do not have to worry about resale value
  9. Not sure giving him a new deal before a loan is particularly strange, moreso the level he is on loan at
  10. Wood gone to the Scottish 3rd tier until January That seems a very strange one https://www.annanathleticfc.com/new-signing-harrison-wood/
  11. I am only 2 minutes into this, so apologies if it does not deliver on its early promise, but this seems an interesting watch
  12. JDTs first season (22/23), he played 48 first team games https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ryan-hedges/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/326230/plus/0?saison=2022&verein=164&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=
  13. Excuse me being pedantic, but do you/Nixon mean the keeper if we get him would not take up one of the ESC slots? There are 4 ESC slots available, but 25 man squads can have up to 17 foreign (non home grown) players in them Edit - Chaddy seems to have answered this
  14. If he currently takes up an ESC spot, then I am pretty sure he still takes one up if he is away on loan, but not if he is sold, as well as other factors that have been mentioned such as sell on clauses (even if it was a free transfer)
  15. try this https://www.brfcs.com/magazine/articles/yu-me-and-a-new-front-three/554
  16. Is it possible to check this with Rich Sharpe? "Three of the new recruits have signed deals until the end of the season, joining Hyam*, Dolan, Hedges*, Markanday*, Sigurdsson, Gilsenan* as out of contract in 2025 (*known options)." He seems to be stating that Hyam has an option (unless I am reading this wrong). Not seen the club mention anything about this previously, and they do not normally neglect to include mention of such clauses, but guess that Sharpe may have heard something from the player/club at some point https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2022/august/28/dom-deal-done-/
  17. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/23591717.blackburn-rovers-set-sign-sondre-tronstad-vitesse-arnhem-exit/ I am sure "Tronstad qualifies for a work permit because of his extensive minutes with Vitesse, "
  18. Also qualified for a work permit outright. Dutch division, like the Belgian one, is strong enough than at ESC spot was not required
  19. ESC sports currently taken by Ohashi, Mafoumbi and maybe Sigurdsson (Siggy looks borderline that he may have qualified for a normal work permit over the course of last season) Gueye qualified for a work permit (more games at the same level as Kaminski, who also qualified for a work permit) Rovers have at least 1 ESC spot left at present (maybe 2 depending on Siggy situation),
  20. Technically doesn't even matter, they are owned by a hedge fund and are loaded. Ipswich were spending more on wages when they were in League 1 than Rovers were spending in the Championship. The narrative of "plucky upstarts Ipswich" is fake news 6th richest owners in the Prem apparently https://www.givemesport.com/ranking-premier-league-clubs-owners-how-rich-they-are/#:~:text=Net worth%3A £10.8 billion,Arizona-based Three Lions fund.
  21. JRC who didn't look his best on Friday. Apparently played with a slight hamstring injury according to Eustace https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/24510218.blackburn-rovers-boss-gueye-captaincy-decision/
  22. Is this some Waggott tactic to convince Peterborough to take a lesser sell on fee % for Szmodics?
  23. His in laws are Norwich fans, his Mrs may put her foot down and tell him not to go to Ipswich 😉 https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2023/april/06/szmodics-eager-to-upset-the-in-laws-/
  24. If true, that sounds like a great loan move for him
