  1. All of those 4 will be on £5K/week or less, so would anticipate if Rovers do have to get wages off the books in order to bring more players in, then if those are the 4 out, then it will probably be 2 in
  2. He has played at League 1 level before, albeit when he was 18 years old and in a Crewe side that was getting beat every week and was ultimately relegated https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/connor-oriordan/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/929715/plus/0?saison=&verein=&liga=3&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id= Agree that a loan at a League 1 club who are not whipping boys would do him good
  3. Apparently Gallagher will be missing for Stoke for a "few weeks" with a stiff calf https://www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/bae-junho-injury-update-stoke-9469884
  4. Or just say "gay" with a fake French accent 😉 Gets you close enough
  5. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2024/august/08/steve-waggott-speaks-ahead-of-2024-25/
  6. Apparently he is an injury doubt https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/24505446.derby-two-fitness-doubts-boss-gives-blackburn-verdict/
  7. Agree, its not something they would neglect to mention They are are normally pretty good at announcing that the player has an option in the initial signing/contract renewal story, but this detail was not included in the Hyam signing story https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2022/august/28/dom-deal-done-/
  8. I didn't want to say this earlier and ruin my viewing fun, but seeing as the Hyam contract situation has now been put to bed Jalil Saadi has evidentially (based on appearing in pre season) signed a new contract which has not been announced by the club. Obviously a different situation as Hyam was club captain for the second half of last season, whereas Saadi is for all intents and purposes an overage U21 player, but it does highlight how bad the club are with communication,
  9. Not to say he is anywhere near as good, but 24 years ago you could have substituted PSV for Liverpool, and Drommel for Friedel
  10. I would assume that the more obvious choices are the ones the club is trying to sell, so he is hedging his bets for as long as possible
  11. Fair enough, but in terms of game time/standing within the squad (practically none under Eustace), Telalovic could be seen as being replaced by Vale, who wasn't here last season
  12. I think its a maximum of 8 loans over the course of a season, but only 5 in any matchday squad
  13. Can see Cardiff being this years Hull, spend a load on wages & loans, threaten to get in the playoffs, ultimately fail, and end up with next to no squad next summer because almost all of them were loans and 1 year contracts on high wages that they cant afford to keep
  14. I agree with pretty much everything you wrote here Wednesday are this years Stoke/Birmingham As in they made some ok signings early in the window, and fans of other clubs (who hadn't yet made signings) start casting a jealous eye. By the time the window is in full swing, the narrative of their great window is still alive and well, but if people were to have another look at their transfer business, then they will realise it it isn't any more than average. Cracking manager though, can see him being poached sooner rather than later, same goes for the guy at QPR
  15. a winger who turns 35 next month and has played about 450 minutes of football over the past 2 years?
  16. It seems that Fadz may be showing signs of mental decline “You can’t not want to get promoted. For me, we want to get promoted." He makes Chaddy seem like a pessimist 😉
  17. Seems that the plan is to get a lot more youngsters out on loan than we have seen previously Stuart Jones' role changed over the summer and he is now also overseeing loan moves for our players ages 17-21 https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2024/july/09/rovers-announce-academy-restructure/ Can only be a good thing if they are getting tested in genuine competitive games, it seems at least some of our various "head of," are useful, Jones certainly is
  18. I think he might have been, At least in summer Not sure it would have made a difference after the winter window though
  19. Marine are 6th tier now (promoted last season), National League North, Atcheson is still 17 years old, decent loan move for him, half a season to learn men's football
  20. Now now, don't pick on the poor hard done to billionaires
  21. Should Rover be down the bottom end of the table? Absolutely not! But given the funding, current squad etc, lower middle table is realistically the best we can hope for, barring Dolan becoming the next Szmodics/BBD/Armstrong/Dack and an unbelievably kind run of injuries on top of that
  22. Especially when we consider that a guaranteed £9M does not necessarily even mean £9M up front. It will probably be £3M per year. Which is mental for a Prem team to be quibbling about
