You produce these doom-laden postings at regular intervals. Not that long ago you were asking if it was possible to bet on us not winning another game this season - we proceeded to go on a run of winning every game for which you were nowhere to be seen on this board. Then you reappear when we lose a game or two. I can see no logical reason why anybody at the club would not want promotion. Promotion bonuses - reputed to be in excess of £10m - plus higher salaries make it in everybody's interests to go up.

He has us in the play off positions with a small number of games to play. I find it hard to believe any poster on here would not have settled for that at the start of the season - I for one am happy with where we are and am of the opinion that we stick with our present management. Are you suggesting that we should change the club's football management ?

Isn't it just the first £30k that is tax free ? -
Difficult to win 2-0 if that was actually true.

Our midfielders dictated play so that Ukraine never looked like scoring.

Bukayo Saka is not "bang average".

According to the footballwebpages site average attendance to date this season is 14,279 so we're getting there. -

You say ST numbers and attendances are dropping but isn't it the case that both are higher this season ? -
Speculation from where ?

Along with Kaminski,Pears,Eastham,Dowling and Goddard that would mean 6 goalkeepers competing for spots in just 2 teams.

Hilton will be 24 in October and is nearly 2 years older than Eastham so you would think that Hilton will be moving on.

Sam Szmodics-Your thoughts?

From memory I think that particular post appeared in a match post an hour or two before kick off. A number of us posted our disapproval; I can't remember if the post was deleted but the poster concerned doesn't appear very often, if at all. -
A very good post and as you rightly say there is far too much hatred shown, obviously not just from supporters of our club. Perhaps as a gesture towards improving things the moderators running this board could make it clear that it is no longer acceptable to refer to other clubs and/or their supporters as "scum".

Credit to the Director of Football too whose judgement regarding the recruitment of players like Brittain, Hyam, Szmodics and Thomas is being vindicated. -

Yet another hard fought 1-0 win. Memories of the days of Howard Kendall as we are a team who know how to edge the tight games. -

I think you're right that for a Saudi citizen to make any money there they probably need to be closeish to the government. I thought their financial problems were cashflow - they couldn't make transfer payments that were due - but that's not an FFP issue as the limits would kick in when the transfer was initially concluded. -

Saudi is a country where I suspect the founder will have an awful lot of grandsons. I think if this guy was now part of the government it wouldn't be the case that the club had run in to financial problems.
