  1. Agreed. I think the reality is that with so many younger players emerging, and developing at different rates that nobody can realistically know, this will be a season of transition. The "I want success yesterday" brigade will be up in arms at this but we have to understand where we are.
  2. That pile of shit that Mowbray left behind won the first 3 league games of the season.
  3. He's been here less than 3 months ! We were set back years by the owners and the individuals they stupidly listened to .
  4. You do realise that Waggott and Broughton don't select the team in the first half that was so inferior to the team in the second half ?
  5. The decision to schedule the U21 games at the same time as the senior games is really hurting as players who could otherwise have been available are absent with the senior team.
  6. Work permit rules have changed following Brexit and bringing in players from overseas is tougher now for clubs outside the Premier League.
  7. Suggestions elsewhere on the net that Neil Maupay to Everton is a done deal.
  8. As you say, the club would be cutting off their nose to spite their face, which is madness especially if we end up being relegated as a result. In addition, you would alienate the manager, who I suspect would strongly oppose what you are suggesting, and all our other players who would sympathise with Brereton.
  9. Are the Directors of Football/ Sporting Directors at other clubs doing interviews ?
  10. Problem is, that if he is at a level that will get action from Premier League clubs we simply won't be able to make an offer that matches what he will be expecting from the Premier League.
  11. JDT was appointed manager after Greg became DOF - quite possibly it was Greg who got him the job. But surely JDT would have known the score regarding transfers before accepting the job ? It was up to him to clear up the situation in the job interviews.
  12. People getting worked up about Broughton not giving interviews for some reason but I don't see Directors of Football at other clubs doing so ; it's not part of the job spec and potential transfer and loan deals should be kept confidential if you want them to go through.
  13. The combined contribution of Zeefuik, Davenport, Poveda, Chapman, Magloire and Brown was minimal so it's really a loss of 7 who actually contributed. We've signed 3, had Carter back on loan , have Dack and Markinday hopefully fit now to contribute in a meaningful way and have young players coming through so the reduction in quality is nothing like what some are saying.
  14. What he wants is the only thing that's relevant. If he wants to run his contract down to the summer there is nothing the club can do.
  15. It gets him under contract which puts the club in the position of deciding if and when he leaves, and for what fee, rather than him walking at the end of the season and the club at the mercy of a tribunal regarding his fee.
