  1. I'm certainly not boycotting- I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully England can do what we've just done in the cricket.
  2. Given the level of losses sustained by clubs at Championship level I think you are correct - at least as regards clubs playing in this division. But worth pointing out that when it comes to tying players down under contract the cry will go up on this messageboard "Show some ambition - pay him what he wants" .
  3. Footballers at Championship level are considerably better off than most people in the UK - get over it.
  4. Go back a couple of pages and you will see one poster who thinks otherwise.
  5. We won a World Cup this morning. What's the problem ?
  6. Maybe the top German side - who signed Jude Bellingham when he was 17 - see something you don't.
  7. Of course it is about the league position. The money shows you how well we are doing given what we are up against.
  8. I don't recall Alex Ferguson giving any apologies, proper or otherwise. On one occasion , after a bad day, he blamed the colour of his team's shirts !
  9. Your post only enables me to identify one individual. How on earth is JDT "absolutely stealing a living" when we are 3rd in the table and the 4th round of the Carabao Cup ?
  10. The TV commentators made the point that you can't "kick some of their players back" now in the way you once could, if you want to stay on the pitch.
  11. Yes. I have just had another look at the table as we go in to the World Cup break. Of the top 5 teams we are the only one that are not in receipt of parachute payments from the Premier League, three of the other four receiving £55m and one I think £33m compared with our £8m - £9m from TV rights. The manager has done a brilliant job putting us where we are - and the idea that he might be chased out of the club because of one disappointing day or not giving some absurd "apology" horrifies me.
  12. We are 1 place off automatic promotion ! That is not part of an "agenda" not to get promoted.
  13. Diappointing if true, although it should be said that, based on the TV stream, the silence for Remembrance Day was impeccably observed by both sets of supporters.
  14. The manager has a track record of being a winner - so I , for one, am confident that we will continue our push for promotion. r
  15. JDT has won 2 national titles prior to his appointment as our manager - so I don't understand how his appointment can be part of an agenda not to get promotion.
  16. Each and every one of us can decide for ourselves whether anger or disappointment is the appropriate response - rather than have self-elected leaders try to decide for us ! I was quoting the statement of one of the moderators !
  17. Having supported the club since 1963 through thick and thin I totally understand what being a supporter is, and as I understand it from a post above from one of the administrators having a pop at another poster leads to a holiday from the board.
  18. I am disappointed, but not angry. There are always going to be bad days, that is the reality of being a supporter.
  19. Believe it or not, there is at least one Rovers fan who is looking at the league table with us in third place, the Carabao Cup draw for the fourth round with us in it, who is not in the least bit "angry".
