  1. I know what you mean, mate, but just have a look at the post below yours - I ask you ?
  2. If true, good work by Mowbray.
  3. Thanks. Must be a very difficult conversation for those at the club who have to tell a young man of 18 that unfortunately he's not going to make it. Even harder for him if he's the only one of his year who isn't going to go on.
  4. I have never seen the player in question so am not in a position to express an opinion on this decision, if it has been correctly reported. But to be fair to those at the club who have to decide who goes on from youth level to the pro ranks, I can't offhand think of a single mistake in the last 10 years in failing to hold on to someone who proved to be any good.
  5. Great spot by Mowbray to bring him in on loan
  6. See above - but even so money etc does not guarantee happiness
  7. I feel sorry for Lambert who I think has "gone" as a manager. As noted before on this thread the decision to give him that new contract looks like madness - unless there is some kind of break clause.
  8. They've also got a lot of players injured. Not the manager's fault.
  9. The poster I was asking works negative remarks about our manager on to this board regardless of the relevance. He even managed it on a discussion of the attendances at Newcastle United a couple of days ago.
  10. What are your views on a manager whose team lose like that to 10 men ?
  11. The Venkys share price is down about 30% over the last month .
  12. Success is relative. I think Darlington fans do deserve some success - but they are not going to win the FA Cup.
  13. Rovers fans had a title win in 1995 and league cup in 2001. Newcastle fans have had nothing but are still there. I've had a quick look at past attendances at Ewood Park. Opening home game in 1984-85 v Carlisle had an attendance of 5,121. The 12,000 were nowhere to be seen.
  14. Crowds in the 80s fell everywhere down to hooliganism. Even clubs like Spurs and Arsenal had crowds like that.
  15. I disagree. I don't think there is any club that can match the loyalty of their supporters despite years and years of relative disappoitment.
  16. They haven't won anything since 1969. Yet still get 50,000 in the ground. To be fair, I think their fans do deserve success.
  17. Confirmed what ? Khod was doing his job.
