  1. You want Mowbray fired as an act of revenge or some kind of punishment beating. If FFP is kicking in to hurt us the likes of Chris Hughton are not going to be interested in joining and it doesn't matter who was responsible - if indeed it was Mowbray. Meanwhile the likes of Peter Reid and Iain Dowie get appointed........
  2. Of those 3 Coyle and Mowbray were not exactly in demand. Lambert made sure he had a release clause in his contract if working for Venkys really was as bad as he was told - it was and he walked
  3. Sadly when these owners roll the dice they roll a pair of ones, not a pair of sixes
  4. We need to be playing AFC Wimbledon for it to be a shorter commute for me ! More seriously, FFP is real and clobbered Birmingham last season and may get Sheffield Wednesday this season. As a general point the EFL are under pressure from some clubs, notably Middlesbrough, to come down harder re FFP and these cunning stunts of yours may not be there anymore
  5. Irrelevant. You deal with the situation you have, not the one you want
  6. I think Mowbray is average at Championship level, as were Bowyer and Lambert. Unfortunately in the 7 managerial appointments made by Venkys in the last 9 years that has been as good as it gets because the other 4 were a lot worse. In forming a view as to what they are likely to do then if Mowbray went, in the words of Nye Bevan, "why look in the crystal ball when you can read the book " ? Add to that the other points : 1. Anyone who is any good is likely to have a choice as to where they work. 2. The owners are toxic. Their track record includes an unsuccessful attempt to renege on a commitment in the employment contract of a previous manager and one of the most distinguished players in the club's history in Henning Berg. Who wants to work for them ? 3. FFP rules may severely restrict the club's transfer dealings in the next few windows. Who wants to be the manager of that ?
  7. How much does that cost ? What are the FFP implications ? Which managers are the geniuses who own the club going to identify as the next manager ? Would that person want to work for people who were sued because they attempted to renege on a commitment in the employment contract of one of their appointments ? Would that person want to work within the FFP constraints /
  8. Yes , and along with Bowyer and Lambert he is one of the 3 managers who have returned an average performance. The other 4 they appointed on the other hand........... I don't believe they will do any better and with what FFP may mean for us I think no one who is any good would take the job anyway
  9. And yet Buckley is frequently described as the best young player at the club and prior to his most recent contract people were criticising the club for not giving him a new contract ! The same people are now demanding that the manager bring in the other young players in to the team
  10. So you want the crowd sacked as well ?
  11. I do , which is why I don't want the clowns who sacked Sam Allardyce to replace him with Steve Kean being set loose once again. On the other hand if that's ok with you...........
  12. Believing in high standards discredits nobody
  13. Yes he will - the problem is that so will anyone else who isn't desperate
  14. What if Stewart Downing does not want it ?
  15. Yes, just trying to help the poster - it's amazing how often that particular spelling error is made I don't attend games at Ewood Park but there seem to have been predictions about the crowd turning for at least a year now
  16. And yet got West Brom promoted to the Premier League ?
  17. It is spelt "principles"
  18. Club record since 1888 - if you were unhappy that season you should do something else with your time
  19. Needs a loan out to another club to get fans with a bit more patience - the "I want success this instant" here will never give him a chance
  20. No "scam" mate, just useless owners and things are unlikely to change whilst they are here
  21. He "bumbled" his way to a club record number of wins and points in league one
  22. And yet elsewhere people are demanding that young players be thrown in to the team. Which begs the question, which ones ?
  23. Presumably the owners know something about what it would cost and how we are placed re FFP
  24. If you look at the abuse being meted out by some "supporters" to John Buckley you will see why that is unlikely to happen
  25. Cooper plays for the club who currently sit in 7th position in the table.Has he really let his contract run down so that he will be able to engineer a move to the club who are in 13th ?
