  1. A great win that just underlines how good Tony Mowbray is - the team selection and substitutions were spot on again
  2. No idea but I do know that the two best managers in English football - Guardiola and Klopp - have had players sent off this season. Sendings off happen to everybody.
  3. You can't hold one sending off against a manager. If it was happening a lot then it would be reasonable to say that the manager needs to address it - but the occasional sending off is an occupational hazard
  4. Yes - against 10 men he is much the best bet to open up the opposition
  5. Swansea blow hot and cold but I would have thought that this was a reasonably good result - we are not going to win every game we play
  6. Sad news coming out that Jim Smith has passed away. A good manager and a good football man
  7. Glad to hear that like me you are really happy with the way things are going
  8. But if we lost 4 games in a row - imagine what people would be saying then.
  9. I think the "holier than thou" people took exception to some of the unpleasantness that was directed at the manager and are justifiably taking pleasure in seeing him doing well. At least one poster described Mowbray as "corrupt" - a disgraceful remark - and others claimed he was not a nice person.
  10. Rooney will clearly be the manager at some stage in the next 6 months
  11. Yes - and he kept faith with the likes of Evans and Armstrong because he is his own man.
  12. Do you seriously think that Mowbray - or any other manager - pays any attention to what know - nowts on a messageboard are saying ?
  13. 5 wins from 6 now - and every reason to think this can continue. Credit to Tony Mowbray for sticking to his guns.
  14. The club had the good sense to stick with the manager
  15. Another great win. 4 from 5 now as Tony Mowbray continues to work his magic
  16. Good win for the Bills at Dallas. On another note I can't remember ever watching as entertaining a player as Lamar Jackson who is redefining the role of quarterback. MVP. MVP . MVP
  17. Another very good win and nice to see the manager getting credit
  18. Yes - he comes out of the interview very well
  19. What will happen if Walton has a blinder and Raya has a stinker ?
  20. I've seen the league table for starters. We are seven points clear -compared with eight off the playoffs(for which I don't think we have any prospects at all). I go back to the mid 60s as a supporter and so have experienced my fair share of relegations. This team does not "feel" like a relegation side; grabbing late winners as we have done twice this month is what relegation sides just don't do and whilst I take your point that visually we don't look that good an ability to eke out enough good results should keep us away from any serious difficulties.
  21. Yes - good point. The only way realistically it is going to turn is to get back to the Premier League
  22. Not sure why you restrict counting modern day fans just to season ticket holders. It is unarguable that more people go to football games now than 30 years ago - generally and at Ewood Park
  23. Thanks. Were there any boos after we had won the match ?
  24. I provided the facts - I can't identify that you have provided any and until you do I can't swerve your point because you won't have made one
  25. Unlike you I don't attend home games so cannot judge how representative posters on this board are of fans inside the ground. Apparently today there were some chants along the lines of "sort it out" . But maybe as we won the match most of those will conclude that he did sort it out and have gone home happy ?
