  1. If Judge is fit then I would happily have him back. If we can Edwards too from Ipswich that would be perfect.
  2. Is MGP still playing? If so get him back for 6 months. Absolute legend!
  3. Mental mate, MENTAL!!!
  4. FFP will mean it'll be Yorkshire tea from now on.
  5. Rothwell at right back then.
  6. This is a game that really doesn't capture the imagination whatsoever. I would be more than happy for TM to try out the fringe players in this match. Obviously I would be happy if we won but wouldn't be too disappointed to lose.
  7. Wilder does pluck them from nowhere and turn them into very good players though. I could see it happening.
  8. He asks the players how they are playing??? This man is unreal. He might as well just use jumpers for goal posts and let the biggest boys pick the team. Do one Tony!!!
  9. I think we have a few of those on our books.
  10. Absolute horse shit! The man just loves to single people out. In my experience that is not the way to get the best out of someone. Play Rothwell on the right wing where he can get to the byline and put crosses in a la Ripley. Done listening to him now, just gonna sit back and watch this season dwindle out.
  11. My 11 year old is a keeper at Norwich City and I hate watching him play. It is the only position on the pitch that one simple error can be highlighted so badly. However Walton is truly awful. I thought he had improved of late but his showing against Forest was the worst I have seen from a keeper in many many years.
  12. Record breaking season??? We were in league 1 FFS. If we accrued that number of wins and points in the Championship then we could all walk around with a boner.
  13. Getting himself ready to team up with DJ again at the helm at Ewood!!!
  14. Seems to be quite a player. Now him and Chapman on the wings would get the fans excited, however I would imagine they'll fall behind Rothwell, Armstrong, Bennett, Downing, Gallagher, Brereton, Buckley and Bell.
  15. Yeah I do. I think when we went on our good run we proved we have the squad to challenge. Cunningham wasn't part of that team. Dack is a big blow but Holtby, Rothwell, Armstrong or Chapman could fill that void, under the right manager, or I would trust a Warnock to bring somebody in for the remainder of the season. We can score goals, but we can't defend, organise or manage games. That is the managers responsibility to sort out.
  16. I'm just at the end of my tether with it all. 35 years of supporting Rovers and other than the couple of years of Kean and Coyle I have never been less inspired. Those 3 letters FFP are beginning to loom large and hearing Tony say there's no treasure chest to spend just smacks of mid/lower table mediocrity for years to come. I just think we could probably sell Lenihan Travis and Buckley, get £15-20million and still hover around the same position in the league. The reason we aren't in the top 6 is because of Mowbray. A Warnock would have had this current squad fighting for promotion. I would rather the Club be £20million better off and finish 17th rather than 15th.
  17. My point is, why give Tony a penny? £12million could have bought us a Pukki and Buendia, Pontus Jansson, Ajayi, and still had millions to spare. With those kind of arrivals, we could probably have tempted Raya to stay, and bloody well guarantee we'd be a top 6 team.
  18. With some of the prices players have been going for recently we could probably demand at least £10million for Lenihan. I am beginning to lose patience with everything about the club and the way it's run so selling him would probably have no affect on me. Yes he's a decent defender but we still ship goals when he's playing, so let's cash in. When we went in our little winning run I had hope, but now that has all gone. The season is over and all the pro-Mowbrayers can point to the fact that we are only 4 points off the playoffs, but I don't give a shit. Under Mowbray we will be nothing more than what North End have become, a bang average championship team. That for me is not acceptable. If we are keeping Mowbray then sell Lenihan, Travis and whoever else might get us a bit of cash. Tony won't improve them, just like he won't take us any further than mid table. Sell the assets but don't give Tony a penny to spunk. Maybe then he might walk.
  19. https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2020/01/02/do-report-sheffield-united-want-championship-captain-and-ireland/ Here we go again
  20. Are there any actual targets that somebody knows of? 59 pages and I haven't heard of a single reliable piece of information.
  21. Watching Downing play in the middle today made me realise how we have missed a quality central midfielder for many many years. His range of passing was stunning. People rave about TAA and how he can switch play from right to left but having seen Downing pick out Bell, Rothwell or Chapman from the right hand side was brilliant. He is a quality player and one that all our youngsters should pay attention to. He'd get my vote for player of the season thus far. If only he was 3 or 4 years younger.
  22. How about we set up in a way that has the opponents worrying about us. I am sick to death of planning each team around the opposition. Liverpool play the same way week in week out as did Norwich last season in the Championship. In my opinion the Venkys need to go for shit or bust now. Spend big in January and gamble. We are buggered if we don't get promotion this season so we might get as well go for it. A keeper, a left back, a centre back, a winger and a striker. 5 signings that could save our club. Ideally Mowbray will go first but I reckon there's more chance of getting shit out of a rocking horse.
  23. He'd fucking trip over.
