  1. can`t stand paul ince but tonight im`e rooting for reading to turn slowbray`s sunderland over, come on you royals, stuff em😄
  2. in front of a crowds of 3,000 as well
  3. iv`e always thought pickering is ok defensively but lacks the pace to be really effective, you need speedy full backs/wing backs in the modern game
  4. thats how i want my rovers to play, commited and stubborn in defence, bright and quick in attack, hopefully jdt has ditched that dreadful 4/2/3/1 formation, everyone played well tonight and i loved hyams "volley" or whatever it was😁
  5. from hazy memories of radio lancashire,we were hanging on for dear life in extra time
  6. is`nt that bernard gallagher, the full back with dodgy knees on loan from villa, doug ellis tried to full a fast one by offering him at a cut price
  7. don`t mention his name to my dad!!!,in his words "a fat, useless waster, who is`nt interested🤫"p personally i thought he was quite good carrying on from that era`ish david glenn???i only remember him from the southampton cup game in circa 1984
  8. george hirst is going to molest the watford defence🤣
  9. at his age he would be stupid to go to spurs,he`d get lost in their system and spend five seasons on loan to various clubs
  10. only when the rearranged date is announced i think
  11. whats happening with phillips contract
  12. we simply can`t go into the game with the same formation as against bristol city,it`s the footballing equivalent of lemmings, pack the midfield out if you need to,but deny watford any space and make it hard for them
  13. very skillful but very lightweight, when big sam came in he was soon on his way, probably the most unallardyce player ever🙂
  14. all high profile games that require a lot of policing, understandable tbh, most of the police will be in london
  15. just read the article, while he`s right about sunderland being a massive club,as usual he`s blowing smoke up his own ****,business as usual last week against middlesborough, taking off their best player pritchard and having players out of position after an hour, the mackems won`t stand for it unlike the sheep at ewood who thought he was the second coming
  16. a holding midfielder is imperative,as is keeping a shape,i`ll be changing my opinion of jdt if he does`nt start to adapt to changing situations,we had five years of the other bloke struggling to make tactical changes
  17. i beg to differ, giving the ball away has seen us get beaten badly against sides we should be beating, especially as we currently commit to many players forwards without the killer pass,do that against sarr and jao pedro and the game will be over before 20 minutes, not a matter of defending better more a case of not giving the ball away
  18. the week after the cup final triumph we played southampton and he started and scored,he looked a very capable player, sadly for whatever reason he faded out of the picture and went back to spain
  19. i did`nt knw that,he can only have been in his late 50`s??,very sad r.i.p
  20. top half if jdt gets streetwise and realises this league is very competetive bottom five if he continues to use the current formation,as it stands we`ve been sussed out
  21. was that his one and only appearance,i can recall the game,he was inspired, like a human wall
  22. anyone remember kevin stonehouse??!!
  23. going to have to play deeper, sarr and jao pedro are miles ahead of anyone in the division striker wise, you can`t give them any space or we will be seriously embarrased
  24. liked a good bet on the horses did queen lizzy, she`d be going barmy if they cancelled the horse racing this saturday, sure she`d have wanted the show to go on
