  1. The clubs would still have to pay the contracted players. Clubs would therefore still go bust.
  2. https://www.gazettelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/middlesbroughs-decision-suspend-season-card-18693044 Boro have stopped selling ST's as they've already sold 6k and are worried they won't be all allowed in when grounds re-open. Capacity set to be around 33% max at grounds. Also:- "It's understood one Championship club has already sold 12,000 season tickets but are expecting the capacity at their home ground to be capped at 7,000" We won't have that problem!
  3. As a Rangers player that will be come as surprise to him.
  4. The pressure on the Govt to bail clubs out by the Autumn will be huge if nothing changes on the supporter front. The Prem clubs will be fine, but every other club in the country must be in danger of folding if fans aren't allowed back soon. I'm not sure the risks are being taken seriously enough by anybody yet. 10-15 EFL clubs on the watchlist for going bust:- https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12034083/dcms-report-up-to-15-professional-football-clubs-in-danger-of-going-bust
  5. Chris Martin has been released by Derby after they couldn't agree a new deal. He'd be an ideal target man for us.
  6. The conspiracy theories are insane. Sharpe is a Rovers fan for a start. The world and his wife know AA is quality and will only get better. There's already been Prem interest in him. But yeah, the LT are trying to bring down the club.? FFS!!
  7. Rovers fan. Grew up in Scunny I think but a Rovers fan from Kenny's days.
  8. I'm not sure Williams is popular with Mowbray but agree on Wharton. Something not right because he looked a good player when he played for Rovers.
  9. As the article says, there was interest in him in Jan from the Prem. I'm sure the LT doesn't need to tout him around ?
  10. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/18619466.premier-league-clubs-monitoring-rovers-top-scorer-armstrong/ No surprise...
  11. Is that Salesbury cricket club? I think he's from round there. Shame if he goes. Mowbray has commented a few times that he needs to 'become a man, physically' whatever the feck that means. I think he's mentioned his upper body strength. Obviously he didn't reurn from Northampton looking like The Rock so Mogga's binning him. I'd imagine the club might regret it but who knows.
  12. People go to sleep during the transfer window? Lightweights!
  13. I think he was sitting down with all the players last week. Obviously why some have started moving on. Can't remember seeing the Wharton thing yesterday? Which thread? I'd be disappointed if he went, the noises he's been making suggest he's here to fight for his place.
  14. Wharton leaving? Where was this said? I think it reported in the LT that discussions with players were taking place last Thursday iirc
  15. Michel and Bell, these are players that go together well, Michel and Bell Lennon/McCartney
  16. "Michel at Auxerre; if correct, think he'd be coming as our number 1" You did indeed. I hope it hasn't broken any 20 year friendships?
