  1. 12 goals for Gally as a striker under Coyle. Bears repeating. And if we are going to start playing him a bit more infield than he has been stuck out on the wing, his performances will surely improve. He has to get in the box more, it's as simple as that. You don't see Salah and Mane stuck on the wing for 90 mins, and we are meant to be copying Liverpool's style. Hopefully Mowbray has worked it out.
  2. Craig Skinner, there's a blast from the past. I thought he was as good as Wilcox when i saw them for the reserves. I knew my stuff?
  3. With respect that's utter shite. He never got any abuse, he just wasn't very good, The noticeable difference is that he now seems physically stronger and a lot more confident.
  4. We aren't Barcelona either, we're a mid-table team in the Championship, a point or two better off than Barnsley. It's not 1995 anymore.
  5. Haha, brilliant, does indeed sound like a 'character. It was hoofball on steroids really, total percentages. He did amazing with that Cambridge team so it was certainly effective.
  6. We seem to either score none or 3+. Feast or famine.
  7. Interesting, I love the enthusiasm whoever it is.
  8. He was famous for putting sand in the 4 corners to hold the ball up.
  9. Tier 3 for Lanky and BwD...and most of Northern England. I think Liverpool and Everton can now have fans on as they're in Tier 2. As is London. What tier am I in? Latest Covid rules in England post-lockdown | World news | The Guardian
  10. Did he ever play against the England B side that played in green?
  11. I think that's exactly what they'll do against us.
  12. I think the first goal the other night highlighted our strengths - we are superb on the counter-attack when there are wide open spaces for our quick forwards to run into. We aren't very good when teams sit deep and deny space in behind.
  13. It's a vast improvement on what he inherited. He can't complain about the backing he's received. You only had to look at the respective teams the other night against PNE.
  14. There's a Nigerian prince I sent my life savings to who has promised a 10 fold return on my investment. It's a license to print money. I haven't heard from him for a while but I think he's just been busy. Can I send him your details, you're exactly the the type of shrewd investor he is looking for? ?
  15. Looks a difficult game on paper. Since getting a new manager in October Barnsley have W4 D1 L2 with 4 clean sheets. One of those wins was 1-0 v Watford. Not a 'gimme' by any stretch of the imagination.
  16. @Herbie6590 who's the commentator?
  17. I'll have a look, I'm guessing he flapped and the ref gave a foul!
  18. Goalkeeping has changed. If you're a decent shot stopper, don't make regular howlers and you can also launch the ball 60 yards and put it on a sixpence then you're golden. Nobody really challenges Goalies in the air anymore. Problem with Raya was that he'd drop the ball with nobody near him. Kaminski seems fairly good at everything and doesn't seem prone to errors. For that reason he's the best we've had in a long while.
  19. Connor Roberts (19) and Joe Jacobson (19) are the only Championship fullbacks to have created more chances than Barry Douglas (13) since his Blackburn debut. Douglas has played just four games in that period.
  20. Nowt serious hopefully...'just a kick' Liverpool's Harvey Elliott becomes latest Red with knee injury (rousingthekop.com)
  21. One for the ages. Makes being a football fan worth the inevitable pain!
  22. Agreed. Can't get too excited about beating our feeder club.
  23. A personal fave:- As I have just been reminded by my Rovers colleagues, Blackburn have scored more goals at Deepdale this season than North End !!!! That is alarming to say the least .
