  1. I'll rephrase. A club could get Brereton for nothing at the end of the season. If they don't want him for nothing, they're hardly then going to bid millions for him a short while later are they?
  2. Let's also not forget, that this whole £30k discussion is based on a paid for Nixon article. Hardly gospel....
  3. If no one has 'stumped up the cash for him' thus far, why on earth would they spend £3/5/8m on him in summer, when they can get him for free?
  4. Reminder to self. Don't forget BRFCS rule #1.
  5. If he's having second thoughts about moving abroad, I'm sure there will be other Championship suitors who would offer a better deal than us, thus solving that particular problem for him. It's just another publicity stunt to appease the gullible.
  6. Why are Ineos et al looking to buy Utd for billions then? To lose money?
  7. I hope that you're right. But as I said, in any walk off life, money talks. How do you think Qatar got the world cup?
  8. Whoever is instigating it is irrelevant. As soon as the English and German clubs realise that they can earn oodles more money than they get from Sky et al through a Euro Super League and subsequent global TV rights, they'll be off like a shot. Money talks, as in any walk of life.
  9. Playing to the gullible - again - to make it look like we're doing something.
  10. The Arabs and Ineos bids make a mockery of the theory spouted on here, that the Euro Super League won't happen, and as such foreign owners (Glazers & Liverpool) are looking to offload...
  11. The likelihood is that he'll hide behind 'cost of living' to raise prices yet again.
  12. The only reason he'll accept the offer here is if it betters what he's been offered elsewhere. What use is a 1 year deal to him? He could get badly injured a la Dack, then find himself with no, or far worse options, at the end of the year.
  13. Didn't Swansea do similar in the 80s?
  14. Generally speaking, people want to be entertained. Winning matches is the best form of entertainment, and the usual way of winning matches is to get the ball in the box and shoot. We do very little of this.
  15. Or perhaps, for the sake of a few grand, they're going through the motions of appealing the decision as a publicity stunt to fool the more gullible.
  16. Exactly this. I think that the club are now just playing 'smoke and mirrors'.
  17. Should be a sideways-sideways-backwards-sideways-forwards-sideways-backwards thriller then... 🤦‍♂️ I'm also going for 1-1
  18. Ordered the short sleeved - thanks @Herbie6590👍
  19. I'm certainly no fitness expert by any stretch, but I don't see what difference playing an extra 30 minutes would make to Dack at this stage. He's got plenty of time under his belt post comeback, he looks as fit as ever, and he's got 2+ days to recover for the next game. I think it's tactical on Tomasson's part.
  20. I watched it on RoversTV & thought we played OK. There was plenty of effort for sure, just the usual impotence attack wise.
  21. The top one is a done deal, unfortunately, but if Boro keep going then second place could get interesting. It's still Sheff Utd's to lose though, I think.
  22. Fancy that, we go and get an equaliser in the dying embers of a game. What do we know, eh? 🙂 If I was of the Claret persuasion, I'd likely be comparing that to Aguero's title winning exploits in that QPR game...
  23. Good point that, well done Rovers. The subs were awful though and nearly lost us the game as a result; the nothingness of Hedges and the aimless running around of Szmodics. Thank goodness Brereton remembered how to shoot.
  24. Errrr......did I say that?
