  1. Ability and mentality tend to go hand in hand, The better players have more of both. I don't think we've 'bottled it' though, as some are suggesting.
  2. This season isn't down to mentality IMO. It's a lack of ability.
  3. The time to judge Tomasson is after the next window or two. He's currently operating with two thirds of a good side, the other third being poor. Recruit well and the ball is then in his court.
  4. To me, Hedges always flatters to deceive. He's often nice on the eye, but nothing much comes of him. We need winners; he isn't one.
  5. It;s been a long while since I felt as gutted walking off a ground as I did yesterday. The reality, though, is that some of our players just aren't good enough; they're not winners. To be where we are, when we have the likes of Dolan being anywhere near the first team, let alone starting matches, is quite an achievement when you reflect. I still haven't given up hope of the play offs yet though. Funny things may yet still happen. We've nothing to lose now.
  6. Any mention of wanting Tomasson out is just crazy talk. People have short memories of the dross which Mowbray served up. We're a far better side than what we were when he took over. Yes, he makes mistakes with selections and tactics, but considering the standard of some of our players, he's done an excellent job so far. What's crucial is that the club back him properly in the summer. We're 3 or 4 players off being a rather good team.
  7. IMO, it's a case of both with Brereton - he's definitely now hiding, and he's also long since been found out.
  8. I'm driving to this, are there any recommendations for car parking? Cheers.
  9. Mine's arrived! Excellent shirt, I'm so chuffed!!!! Thanks ever so much @Herbie6590👍
  10. Szmodics nearly lost his head at that. Second later, he basically hacked one of theirs down.
  11. Look to sell them. That's the model.
  12. What's he 'developing' into?
  13. For all the criticism of Gallagher - and yes, he is beyond bad - Brereton and Dolan are equally as poor.
  14. So what? Half the premier league and the more affluent EFL clubs will be 'keeping a tab' on Wharton.
  15. His effort and energy are endearing, but for a club with aspirations of promotion, Dolan shouldn't be anywhere near the first team.
  16. At least 'Super Frankie Lampard' can hang his hat on the fact that Chelsea scored for once...
  17. The lack of advertising is probably due to the fact that there are 2 home games before the DIngles which still need promoting.
  18. I''m doing a Chaddy and watching the Coventry/Watford game. Coventry are good to watch.
  19. Play like that and we'll win far more than we lose.
  20. On this evidence, I agree. For all his neat play, he needs to serioulsy up his effort levels. There was a situation at 2-0 when they came down the left. If the guy just looked up, he'd have seen a player unmarked for a clear run in on Pears. Wharton was just jogging back in a world of his own, when he should have been busting a gut to cover.
  21. I really don't get all this talk of us 'bottling it'. It's nonsense. What we have is a limited set of players, managed by a bloke with his own limitations, who I think has done rather well considering what he's working with. Take the game yesterday as an example. Yes, we were poor on the whole, but there wasn't that much between the two teams other than two extremely well taken goals. In contrast, our finishing was dire, because our finishers are dire. It's not a case of 'bottling it', it's more a case of there being, for now, better teams and managers than what we have.
