The Ewood pitch doesn't run true. At the Swansea and Blackpool games, I saw the ball bobble up a few times. One instance in particular, a simple ball across the back line bobbled over the foot of one of the Swansea defenders. Luckily for them, the defender recovered it quickly, but it could easliy have caused them a problem. That could be us next time. 'Penny wise, pound foolish'.

The cynic in me says that this will be just like any other government backed regulator. Think rail, water, energy etc.... Out of curiosity, I ventured on to the Plain English Campaign website. Oddly enough, the word 'stakeholder' was not included in the list of words for which they offer a 'plain English' alternative. Perhaps you should highlight their ommission, and to tell them that they're also wrong? I'm sure that they'll be as enthralled as we all are with your point of view.

A stakeholder's 'stake' need not be a financial one. As an example, the local Ewood community are stakeholders in BRFC. If the club don't pick litter up, again for example, then they are impacted by the club.
