  1. It's really suprising that the club haven't shouted about this via their newly improved fan communication stategy.
  2. The time to worry about style is when we're a stable premier league side again. We need to get there first, which is why Dyche is the best option irrespective of the style he plays.
  3. Let's use the pitch as a way of validating these so called improvements. What are they specifically doing differently this time around that has not been done in previous years?
  4. I think either him or Liam Manning, both of whom would be decent (assuming Dyche/Carlos/Farke are a no-go). I'm only guessing mind you.
  5. If they truly were flying off the shelf, the club would be shouting about it a la Bolton.
  6. Rinse being the operative word!
  7. By that logic, Burnley wouldn't be able to appoint a replacement either.
  8. In any decent organisation, the employer shoud also 'sell' the company to the candidate. If they want the best candidates, that is.
  9. Wow! £150 increase for the Riverside in 4 years. That's worse than insane.
  10. Well considering it was only 3 days ago since they knew what division they were in, which arguably influences the type and calibre of manager they can go for, I'd say that's pretty quick. No messing around putting shortlists together and interviewing; they've gone straight for their man in Kompany and are seemingly getting the job done. Dyche was only sacked a month ago.
  11. I heard a snippet on 5Live yesterday, stating that Burnley are aiming to make an appointment by the end of the month. That's how you do it, unlike our protracted effort.
  12. You think think is a fair way to sell the Accy tickets then do you?
  13. Totally. I suspect a good number - myself included - have budgeted for getting paid at the end of the month before renewing.
  14. That may be true, but doesn't excuse him from his responsibilities and accountabilities. Whether he's capable is another matter, and yes, that is down to the owners to sort.
  15. Of course Venkys aren't the best, but to simply lay the failings of everything and everybody at the club at their doorstop is rather a simplistic view. Waggot is a highly paid CEO of a large company. It is his responsibility to set the tone on the ground floor, and to deflect noise and uncertainty away from staff. That's what good leaders do.
  16. If Burnley organised themselves post Dyche, they'll have a Plan A and a Plan B. We'll find out soon enough though Chaddy!
  17. I agree. But if we're only getting round to interviewing this week, there's enough opportunity for an organised club to steal a march for the better candidates.
  18. A drawback of Burnley getting relegated, is that they'll now be fishing in the same pool as us for a new manager. Let's hope that the club are nearer to a conclusion than we think is the case.
  19. I used to have a soft spot for Forest from when they were European champions back in the day under Clough. Not so much lately. They have a couple of players - Johnson and Garner - who think they're something special. Cloughie would have given them a slap.
  20. Easier said than done. Which other club would pay what we're paying for someone who's basically a crock?
  21. Exactly. The evidence of the second half of the season shows that Mowbray was anything but a steady hand. Carry on with that form, and we definitely will be relegation candidates.
  22. They haven't asked for your opinion Mogga ... cos maybe they just don't want it. Take the hint, man.
