  1. I was pulling your leg fella. Never mind!
  2. So you're disagreeing with JDT? Wow that's a first 🤣
  3. Haven't you been saying that Vale did enough against QPR to stay in the side?
  4. Yeah, tore his thigh muscle (I think) around the same time last year, which kept him out for months. Absolute shame, as he was on the verge of the first team. He was about to come on as a sub late on in the QPR game, got the nod from JDT and had his shirt on ready.
  5. Gonna need more than one centre half - Barnes has done his ACL
  6. Regarding Dack. Time will tell whether he has the athleticism and can regain his form and fitness to fit into JDT's preferred style of play. Every sucessful squad and manager are adaptable though; they have many ways of playing and ways to win games. Dack will undoubtably get his chance at some point. On his day, he's a class act and our best player. He's a proven match winner. To write him off at this stage, because he supposedly doesn't fit JDT's style, is premature IMO.
  7. Spot on. IMO, the numbers who don't attend simply because of the owners alone will rank in the dozens, not the thousands. Price and what's on the pitch are the overriding factors.
  8. I'll go with 'pride' to add to that list.
  9. That's pathetic of the club.
  10. I wonder if Waggott has taken the time and trouble to reach out to the missing 1,000? To speak to his customers and do some research, perhaps? See what he can do to encourage them to sign up? Probably not. After all, he's met his financial target so he can rest easy.
  11. There's an excuse for everything with Waggott. Whether it be players leaving, ticket prices, the state of the stadium.....there's always an excuse.
  12. Rubbish. Ever heard of 'speculate to accumulate'? Perhaps he could try 'maximising financial profit' by increasing his customer base, thus increasing turnover and ultimately profit? That would be a novel approach to doing business, don't you think? Far more to gain by doing it that way, rather than squeezing every last drop out of diminishing customer numbers.
  13. The fact that Waggot has stated that ST sales are 'above budget', it's clear that he's purely measured financially - by squeezing the remaining customer base - as opposed to being proactve and finding credible ways to increase bums on seats. Job done, in his world. How he's allowed to get away with it, is unfathomable. It'll be the same approach next season, no doubt. He'll cover the anticipated drop in revenue/churn with yet another price increase.
  14. That's the team I think he'll go with too Chaddy, and is what I'd pick. 1-1 10,800
  15. I'll be surprised in Burnley aren't top 6 at least. The biggest uncertainty is the manager; I think the remnants of their PL squad plus their new additions will be pretty strong.
  16. Sloppy passing and miscontrol galore. Let's hope we can put it down to a lack of fitness and that we buck up for next week.
  17. All this mention of reading up on sports science summaries etc is irrelvant to me. As an average punter, all I fundamentally care about is seeing progress on/off the pitch, how much I pay for it, and the standard of the facilities. To this end, Waggot is failing badly. It's that simple to me; I don't need to look into his eyes to form my opinion.
  18. Waggott might be the most honest and well intentioned person on the planet. But if his actions fail, then he fails. That's what matters, not what his eyes look like.
  19. My view is the total opposite. I judge people by their actions and the outcome of those actions, not by what they say they're going to do.
  20. Always judge a person by their actions, not their words. The actions we've all seen include: players walking for nothing; a stadium falling into disrepair; ticketing catastrophes, and a botched attempt at flogging the training ground Until I see improvements with issues such as these, my opinion of him remains the same.
  21. Barnes has been with the club since school. He's been captain of the U23s for 2 or 3 seasons, but lost most of last season due to injury. He was due to play the pre-season last time around, was rated by Mowbray and now seemingly by JDT. In terms of playing experience, he's ahead of Phillips by some way.
  22. If you aren't going to relay to the board the answers Waggott gave you, then why did you even announce that you had a meeting with him? Willy waving, if you ask me.
  23. I was talking to Jake Batty's parents at Accy. His season is with the U23s.
  24. More worrying than Pickering, is that he isn't our biggest problem.
