  1. I went down to the shop this morning and was told the same thing. ie no more shirts this season. The chap I spoke with reckoned that they'd ordered the same quantity as they did last season, and in all but 2 of the last 10 years (this and last) they'd not sold out.
  2. @chaddyrovers I was asking you which option you believed to be true, not for directions to your sources. ps I wish you'd stop multi-posting responses, it makes it nigh on impossible to reply to a specific.
  3. Above anything, IMO they need to find a centre midfielder with the physicality and wherewithal for Championship level football.
  4. Rovers on the slide, Boro on the up. There's only one outcome. 2-0 Rovers (Brereton x 2) 🙂 COYB
  5. Which one is it then? We either a) avoided FFP by the skin of our teeth by selling Armstrong & Brockhall, or ... b) we had money to spend, but chose not to?
  6. We've lost 3 out of the last 4 haven't we? That suggests that the fall has already started.
  7. This is the crux of it to me. We don't give the forwards anything to work with.
  8. Sorry, yes. That's a dreadful stat.
  9. Did I read that Sky stat correctly .... ZERO touches in the opposition box?????
  10. What a dreadful game of football, devoid of quality from both sides.
  11. Our midfield is non existent
  12. Starting to get overrun here
  13. A draw would be a decent result and we're bound to get one sooner or later. 1-1
  14. Nah! The optimist in me says that we might now have a plan. The realist in me says that it's all more nonsense. Different actors, same play.
  15. If it's not put into practice, then the whole project thing is a total farce.
  16. I very much hope I'm wrong, but I genuinely don't think we'll make it anyway, as we don't have sufficient quality or depth. This is why I think we should sell BBD, should an offer come in. In theory, that's more money in the transfer kitty for the summer,
  17. Did Sean Dyche spend loads of money getting Burnley promoted the first time around? He saw what he had, saw what was needed, found a playing of playing that suited, and got them up in 18 months or so. I for one am tired of hearing about multi year plans. I'd much prefer the manager to say, 'I'm going to get us promoted as quickly as possible'.
  18. FFS, 3 summer windows my arse. Clubs who mean business grab the bull by the horns, and go for it. But not us; we'll still be pissing about when the next man comes in.
  19. From what I've seen of Hirst, he doesn't exhibit a single attribute - not even a glimmer of one - which makes me think he'll make it as a Championship standard player. We just need to cut our losses, send him back, and find a proper replacement who can make an impact now.
  20. I don't think any of our centre mids are consistenly good enough for a team looking at promotion.
  21. If we needed further evidence, last night's game showed, to myself at least, that... Mola and HIrst are beyond terrible. There's no point expending any more time on them. Szmodics is no where near sufficient quality. All he does is run down dead ends as he's so one footed. A pauper's version of a poor man's Dack. SWharton is going backwards at a rate of knots. I don't know what's happened there. AWharton needs to learn that, when it's not going for him, he needs to drop his languid style and roll his sleeves up. I was pretty disappointed walking off the ground. Forest weren't all that much, I didn't think.
  22. There is no pricing strategy, it's all off-the-hoof, short term thinking that starts off at the beginning of each season with how to fleece the core season ticket base. I thought that they should have done a combo ticket deal for the Preston and Forest games. Something like £20 for PNE and get a Forest ticket for a tenner. That would have seen bigger home gates for both matches. Opportunity missed....yet again.
  23. After the Norwich game, I'm looking forward to this now (yes, my mood changes with the wind!) I hope we put them to the sword and send their gobby nouveau fans home with their tails between their legs. 2-1 Rovers
  24. I've belatedly reached the conclusion that it's impossible to have an adult, reasoned debate with him. How it took me so long to realise this, I'll never know!
  25. Well played Argentina. Well played France. And good for you, Lionel Messi.
