  1. He was in the ref's ear and looked hungry to do well. The sort we want.
  2. Adam Wharton was a class act today and pulled off some incisive passes that split their defence wide open. Some players like that don't necessarily need urgency. Think Tugay.
  3. No. No. No. Don't break what doesn't need fixing. JRC has been playing well there for months, now, which is no fluke. Leave that bit as it is.
  4. We were Warnocked and Rovered in the first half. There was no coming back from that, but Joe Rankin-Costello begged to differ. Well done, Joe. You're a star! A few men stood up today where bigger and better paid boys are supposed to. Kudos to them. We're still in this. Let's hope our poor form has ended and we can at least end our season with a fight, which would be more than what we've done in the last five years.
  5. It's always the same. "Big" crowd and the team don't turn up. Norwich didn't have to lift a finger for the three points. Only positive was Adam Wharton. He might not be doing the biz in training if JDT's comments are anything to go by, but he was the only one that made stuff happen. Starts the next game for me. Thankfully he's a on a long-term contract. Far superior to Morton.
  6. I've Mercered myself. First half and it's game over. Bank on Rovers to lose heavily here in this second half. We're going to lose this. A loss. A licence to print money. Bank on a Rovers defeat. Lose. Loss. We've got no chance here.
  7. I use Firefox and it wasn't available until a few minutes ago. I think this is a case of them activating the button rather than which browser you use.
  8. This is getting ridiculous. The RoversTV subscription is now consisting just a handful of games. The game isn't being screened in my country at all, yet it looks like it's unavailable. All I get is a "Buy Tickets" button.
  9. I think it's fairly clear. The talented Adam Wharton doesn't sound like he's pulling his weight enough in training. I like a lot of what I've seen from Wharton, but he is certainly still raw. Morton gets pilloried for making mistakes, largely because he's not ours, but Wharton has made some crucial errors in some of the games I've seen him. I think everyone just needs to take a chill pill. This lad is super-talented. Let's not let him get eaten up by pressure situations just yet. I'm happy for JDT to bide his time with him.
  10. Isn't severance pay tax-free up to £30,000? Not sure how it works for the self-employed, or if a personal service company is involved, or if it's all within IR35, but I can't imagine £13m is tax-free, Philip.
  11. Is there any merit in setting up a business directory on here so that Rovers supporters can look up other fellow Rovers supporters for jobs and so on? I think it would be great to have a place to promote ourselves to each other, even if it's not a mainstream line of getting business, and perhaps sending a bit of money into the pockets of working Rovers supporters that would otherwise go elsewhere.
  12. He is a tidy player on the ball, but to little effect. I can't think of too much more than that. He rarely wins tackles because he doesn't put enough into them. He has made plenty of suicidal passes that land us in trouble. He isn't incisive enough in the final third. I couldn't believe the stories of Dortmund being interested in Morton for £20m. That must have been rubbish, surely? While I'm sure he'll return to Liverpool with some useful experience, he's never going to be good enough for them. Harvey Elliott was sublime for us, and showed the level you need to be at in order to force your way into a Premier League's first team. Even then, I'm not convinced Elliott is the level of player they require to win trophies at the top level. It's a ruthless world. Morton will have a decent career, but I think it will be for lower Premier League level teams at best. I can see him ending up at Bournemouth on a permanent deal in the not too-distant future.
  13. Ignore my advice at your peril, but this is a licence to print money. Cracking opening some Spar Budget table wine as we speak.
  14. Three out of three so far. We've got a mini points haul coming up in the next five games, folks!
  15. You might have lost all readers beyond your first sentence. 😄
  16. 😄 So he's basically exaggerating before he's even able to. You wouldn't think he was a Dingle! 🤭
  17. Regarding Pears, he's done superbly since standing in for Kaminski, but I think he's been a little bit off it in the last few games. If we were in a play-off final, and both 'keepers were fully fit, I'd have to bottle it and go with Kaminski. I'd get him back between the sticks when he's ready. He is still our best goalkeeper, but it's been great to see Pears redeem himself in the eyes of the supporters.
  18. Not sure this is the smartest thing for someone to do, but a Dingle supporter called Rick Muller claims he has secured tickets for him and his two adult children in the "home end". Hopefully the club will be shit-hot on this and rat out any silly idiots from up the road getting in the home ends. I'm not sure how, but I suspect it will be a problem on the day.
  19. No question we deserved the win. 3-2 flattered us at Stoke, and 2-1 flattered Reading, so it's balanced out. We can enjoy Sunday a bit more, now.
  20. Twitter. $13bn of debt. $300m quarterly payments to service the interest alone. $124m negative cash flow (revenue). 40% drop in advertising revenue after the takeover. Begging Amazon for discounts for its cloud hosting. Did Musk pay $37bn for a bit of publicity?
  21. I predicted a loss and was supposedly "flapping" against all you cocky bastards, so I'll lap up all the credit about to come my way! 😤 We turned up for the first and last ten minutes. Stoke turned up for the other 70 and sliced through our midfield and defence like butter. That's all she wrote. I've seen worse from us this season, but I had a feeling we'd turn out "one of those" performances.
  22. I knew we had that still in us. I'm not surprised. Stoke deservedly ahead by two after we showed nothing after the first ten minutes. We need a big half to get anything out of this.
