  1. Blue shorts.... blue blooming shorts to watch Rovers play at home that to me is a big, big problem. Ever since 1970, i have never seen Rovers wear blue shorts for home games and i dont want to, i feel as if we are playing away from home wearing blue shorts. Tradition and standards must be maintained at all costs! Agree with onepost about white socks with blue shorts but for away games only please. If you want to look good playing football then always try to wear a coloured shirt and shorts with... white socks. I'll never forget AC.Milan in the early 90's playing in white socks they looked a class above.
  2. I think the person or persons who initiated the blue shorts for this season should be named and shamed for an unforgiveable act in trying to drag down the Blackburn Rovers football kit. I ask, at which time in our rich history did we wear Blue shorts for home games(apart from now) because if we did i'm sure it was an instantly forgetable season. I feel i can compare this with the lack of understanding from the club about how local people felt towards the Burnley game as they do with the Leicester game, television aside. Every true Blackburner places the highest of highest emphasis possible on beating Burnley, i feel reputations were really on the line at Ewood if Rovers had not beaten Burnley.... but i question John Williams and his management team on do they really know how the local public judge each Rovers game. All you need to do is go out there and ask them the answers are there.
  3. Should'nt it be Robbie Savages position that is under threat, but i clearly see what you mean about Emmerton. With reputations clearly on the line v Burnley, Emmerton to me lost his, in both games he played like a headless chicken failing to take responsibility and show the supporting public what he could do against inferior opposition. Case 1, Bret running with the ball into the opponents box and then looking to pass to someone else ubelievable - its back of the net please Bret from you not to ANOther. Case 2, Then theres one attack second half v the Dingles, when one striker runs wide taking a defender with him the other attacker goes wide to leave Bret Emmerton one v one ten yards outside the box middle of the goal with the game poised at 1-1 - now its down to Bret to get us out of our seats but what does he do, he plays the ball wide away from goal to the attacker who took a defender out of position thus failing to go it alone and claim the glory. He only has himself to blame if he ends up on the bench.
  4. Blondes have more fun ........get in there boys!
  5. Its got to be MGP and Stead upfront for me with Reid and Douglas coming in to keep the balance and to keep an interest in the game. If Gally starts then he will have one hell of a game, something i dont think he his capable of.
  6. Burnley lads are all puff and wind, and only tough if they are in a big gang or you should say more of them than you. We've all seen through the decades the myths about the Dingles lard lads, full of mouth, underdeveloped boxers. Did you enjoy Dingles your toilet bashing session in the Darwen end!
  7. What about the toilet bashing Dingles, apparently the toilets in the Darwen end were ripped apart by our claret neighbours according to one Burnley fan. Claret Cottagers in anger ! I seriously questioned the ticket arrangements, but at the end of the day i'll hold my hand up and say it went reasonably well. The Rovers fans inside the stadium were on a high especially in the riverside, what a passionate crowd we had in there. Even the Darwen end side of the JWalker stand looked good with what seemed Rovers fans going wild with delight or rage whichever. But 5-0 or 2-1, a win is a win, and only a win matters when we play Burnley gobbins but the gap narrows according to the clarrot faithful or is it just...... the gap in the claret minds that just gets wider and wider. Roll on next time and another 26 years of East Lancashire dominance.
  8. I thought Rovers poor performance last night stemmmed around Emmerton making poor decisions and Gallagher and Bothroyd looking like and not for the first time, a set of clarets in disguise. I found it amazing Mark Hughes selected these two Gally and Betty for last night after their consistantly poor form so far this season. When MGP went up front to replace these two donkeys and Reid came on then we looked slightly more positive but we should'nt have to pay money to watch talentless individuals like Gally and Bothroyd.
  9. The source streakyb is the Burnley lad who got them, but dont worry this lad wouldnt cause any bother i dont think he'd know how to cause trouble but it is a serious issue.
  10. Rovers staff sold Blackurn tickets to Burnley fans on saturday morning when a fellow Rover cant purchase an extra 4 tickets for his family and friends. I find it a mockery and unacceptable! As for Burnley selling tickets to banned yobs - Rovers administration should come down hard on Burnley football club in ensuring this thing doesnt happen.
  11. Just spoken to an honest Burnley fan who works in Blackburn claiming his mates, fellow Burnley fans have purchased tickets in the Blackburn section of the ground but are going to try to get in the Darwen end with his fellow Dingles. Alledgedly banned Burnely fans have tickets in the Darwen end -which i find astonishing and makes a mockery of Rovers handling These tickets were purchased on saturday morning and it begs the question what is John Williams doing after reading some of the comments regarding extra tickets from loyal fans.
  12. Everyone must have an e-mail address surely if not then either use a friend a library or college for internet access - THERES NO EXCUSE not to have one this is the year 2005 afterall.
  13. Why cant the club e-mail every season ticket holder within a short time scale asking if the client supporter requires x number of tickets for a particular match and that a reply is required within a specified timescale i.e. 48 hours or whatever time is of the essence. Then the problem is sorted, failure to respond means no tickets.
  14. I, questioned wether it would be a sell out, early indications seem to be to the contrary but its early days yet, but come on my town Blackburners make me proud. As for the atmosphere in the Jack Walker stand, its up to you the individual to create ....the atmosphere i.e you lead in the singing just make it appropriate, in tune, in time and you'll find the normally placid, quiet Jack Walker stand people will follow, as they will be up for this like no other game before, but due to their normal stiff upper lip brigade mustnt be seen to do anything out of the norm in case somebody important is watching me - they will definitely need prompting.
  15. Interesting to see that the Dingle backed off then did a runner when Steven Reid gave him the come on. Well done Reidy for standing up to the claret ASBO.
  16. How poor was Paul Gallagher, blessed with the pace of a slug.. it pains me to say it as a local lad who should be giving all the support i can offer but i'm afraid Gally just doesnt inspire. Gally looked like hed struggle to get in the Dingle team.
  17. Cheer Gav, his first name isnt Tez is it ?
  18. First taste of hatred was in the seventies and this bloke with what seemed like a stetson on his head jumped over the small wall along the riverside and straight into the Darwen end with fists and feet flying into the greeting Burnley fans - an absolute raving lunatic, i couldnt believe it, does anyone remember this or know who the person was. The last game at Tiny Moor when a group close to me started chanting ....one dad between you, you've only one dad between you as the Dingles began to enter the ground. What about the Dingle who ran on to the pitch at the start of the second half last time round then realised what a fool he was making of himself then started chatting to lardlad Payton with the Rovers fans chanting ...who let the dingle out... who,who .
  19. Is there only me who thinks that those blue shorts on the home kit makes Rovers look like we are playing away rather than at home. The blue and white halves will always be the same.... and so should the white shorts, its just the socks that can either be white or blue. No more blue shorts for home games please!
  20. The club have handled the ticket allocation excellently, and i have no complaints about the distribution even though i dont have one - if anyone has a spare ticket going...... then please post your details !
  21. People on hear are questioning the need for a striker, but the last few games have highlighted the lack of quality service going forward, Emmerton did naff all again - lots of running in fact plenty of running from Bret but no telling forward play which is disappointing. Tommo is struggling big time at the moment he's suppopsed to be the driving force in midfield along with Savage but the last few games have shown that hes struggled to compete and make a positive contribution. Pedersen hasnt done anything either in contributing to the attacking play in the last few matches which is aworry after doing so well. When Flitcroft comes back we can revert to 4-4-2 but who plays is anybodys idea. Anyone thinking the Burnley game is going to be a stroll should think long and hard after this game because this has been a true reflection of our season so far.
  22. Well Mokoena played instead of Flitcroft but how the team carried little David Thompson, theres people slagging Lucas Neill off but Tommo was an out and out liability along with Matteo - lots of running but no effective quality forward play which i thought let the team down big time from an attacking prospective . The problem is we dont have anyone better to fill their positions at the club, hopefully Mark Hughes will address that in the summer along with the strikers. Cant forget Ryan Nelson who really impressed in the centre of defence along with Mokoena who also did a competent job for the team. Switching the widemen second half though didnt help because Bret Emmerton could not take the ball from his right and take it onto his left and then run with the ball - he was absolutely woeful at it and it exposed a true weakness along with his lack of ability to head a ball in front of me in the riverside. Overall a pleasing performance despite the result and a big improvement on our early season games if only Bellamy was upfront then we really could look threatening.
  23. Gally isnt fit to wear the shirt........ after his dumb lazy arsed performance so far for the Rovers.
  24. I voted no but after hearing soft lad Ferguson and reading the Telewag i have too change my original vote to a resounding yes, another Souness bad buy, i definitely feel weve been rubbered again by Glasgow Rangers. Scottish football has left itself wide open to more ridicule after soft Bazzas stint in the premiership and prompt return to the north of northern England.
