  1. To all the Todd lovers, what about his stinking performance yesterday, the alarm bells were ringing when Todd allowed Harewod to outpace him in the first couple of minutes giving the hammer a freeshot at goal. Then there was another incident first half when Todd hesitated and left a West Ham attacker with an opportunity at goal, then theres the first goal a Todd gift, then the second one where was Todd hiding for that second goal. Todd surely needs Nelsen to hold his hand through a game.
  2. At this moment in time Savage has brought absolutely nothing to Blackburn Rovers except publicity as an average footballer making an absolute fortune from the game of football. No wonder so many Blackburners have been turned off by the ratio of money paid to Savage for ability produced... its way out of proportion. We need a new attacking central midfielder.
  3. What about Andy awful Todd the culprit for West Hams first two goals then there was Steven i want to pass back to my centre halfs all the time Reid and not the forwards. Why did Hughes risk Bellamy after so little match practice and then the disgraceful challenge of Paul Dickov how low can we go? Rovers have certainly put down the wrong marker for this season with that performance .
  4. The absent friends are certainly undermining Rovers, they only come when were winning.... what can you do with people who have a total lack of commitment to their local area. If Rovers need some extra income then its going to have to come out of local council taxes, that i'll cheer the miserable, selfish, hard faced folk of Blackburn up. The cost of watching a game at Rovers is no longer an excuse one can use, with the cost of a season ticket being from as little as £250 if they arent prepared to pay that amount then they might as well disappear off the face of the earth as far as i'm concerned.
  5. Before anybody gets carried away most of the Rovers players didnt look fully fit and it didnt help their cause when Espanyol had a player sent off, then it became slightly easier. Just hope fanny Hammers arent as fit.
  6. So who was the invisible right winger who challenged Gresko at every opportunity ? there wasnt one.... easy life for the full back. Savage didnt look fully fit but then again ten or nine men might have made it look that way. Kuqi did look like a natural goalscorer though, whilst Dickovs first touch was awfull to say the least. An easy a pre season game as Rovers will ever face. As for Taylor he was very very weak on his right foot, the experience though will have done him good long term if he can work on it his right foot.
  7. The poor disciplinary record last season for me was down to one poor match fitness at the start of the Souness season, then the added desperation of putting everything in to our game to gain lost ground when we sank to the bottom of the league. This time round the preperation is far far better, people have been added to give us that cutting edge (Bellamy,Kuqi) the in discipline wont be there this time unless officials take note of the Boro pillock Jeff Winter. Bring em on knock em down .....woops !
  8. Only an idiot would think Bellamy isnt a good signing.
  9. Jack Walkers wishes were to get his money back once the club became self dependent. John Williams was hired from Granada leisure, because Granada at that time wanted to fund or invest in a premiership club, what happened next was Rovers then ended up being relegated from the premier league and took to long to return, thus GRANADA went and invested in Liverpool FC somewhere to the tune of £20m - opportunity missed. Mr. David Brown's introduction to proceedings at Ewood Park sets it up for the trustees to get the best deal for themselves. If the trustees want to get the best deal for themselves then to me they have no other alternative than to back the current manager with a couple of quality forwards to make their portfolio look stronger and more attractive to outside investors - we wait and see. Thanks though for pointing out that the formation of an independence supporters club came from the fans not the club, apologies on my part.
  10. From what ive heard the trustees WANT their money out of Rovers, and Robert Coar is on the FA board to protect their interests from Malcom Glazer devalueing their business furthermore. New owners may not be far away if that is, anyone wants to pay the asking price. Interesting that the club also wants an independence supporters organisation, is this to buy bonds or whatever into the club????
  11. Thirty five years watching the Rovers, first game Leicester City 1970 with a young Peter Shilton in goal for the foxes.
  12. Why pay for something if the product isnt good enough re: season ticket sales? People will only pay top dollar for a match if their team is a... winning team, parking, price, proximity, poor astmosphere, all become secondary if the team is a winning team. Rovers finished as a bottom six club in the premiership last season with one of the main reasons or the main reason being the lack of quality up front, good strikers we didnt have, if thats to continue again then why should people go to watch an outcome were the probability is Rovers wont win. Then we all search for the excuses not to attend. The club have no option other than to pay top dollar for two strikers, failure to do so puts premiership football at Ewood Park in serious jeopardy and further erodes the crowds.
  13. Good to see empty seats at Cardiff for the Manu V Geordies when we were told that both clubs had sold out .
  14. I want to see Rovers compete, get stuck in, mess up the opposition in a footballing way, but when you see on the TV someone score a goal then from three yards away when the ball hits the back of the net our defender runs past then 'accidentally' elbows Van Persie in the face, accident.... your having a laugh take the blinkers off, please. Todd could and should have avoided contact after he Van persie had released his shot - this type of action twinned with the fact that we didnt create many goal scoring chances gives us the bad press that we deserved. I dont like that kind of press weve recieved, but we deserve it, so we have to address it which i have every faith that Rovers will do. I cant wait for Wednesdays game to come and go and this whole episode put behind us, what will the Palace players be thinking on their trip to Ewood Park - ninety minutes of hell - get into em !
  15. Just seen the TV pictures of some of the challenges we did and it does not look good in fact they are indefensible and Andy Todd is a disgrace ........... you cant excuse that sort of behaviour. Van Persie has took the Micheal out of Todd on two consecutive occassions now scoring three goals in the process and Todd has been shown up each time. The club have got to take action to cut that sort of behaviour out. Todd knew exactly what he was doing. The criticism coming our way has only been brought on by ourselves so we have to correct it.
  16. To me Jim Holden chief sports correspondent for the Sunday Express goes beyond his journalistic scope by insulting every Rovers fan by calling us ....'loyal' one eyed supporters. I can take the team were dirty, didnt play good football etc., but to directly insult Rovers fans, he, the empty headed Jim Holden, who goes into an open attack on Rovers fans everywere is.......unacceptable. He either issues an apology or his empty head is on the block big time!
  17. For me the most pleasing thing yesterday was when Arsenal scored the second goal and everyone knew the game was over, the Rovers fans stood up and cheered which i thought was magnificent - made me feel proud to be a Rover !
  18. Cant wait for Friday, off to Cardiff to support the team and personally couldnt give one hoot to how many supporters we have or havent, so long as i'm their and the gay community keeps their distance. The gay carnival has obviously put a lot of our people off, were as the cosmopolitan cities of London, Manchester & Newcastle with their gay communities see it as a double wammy weekend - the real reason?. So lets get behind the team, the English Football Association are the only culprits in this semi - affair.

    Semi Final

Cant wait for Friday night in Cardiff in anticipation of the game drinking with.... real..... Rovers fans having a good time burning cash we dont have, but building long lasting memories instead of staying in dreary Lancashire with those those boringly dull descendents of the cotton weavers. At least the true genuine fans will be their - committed to the cause supporting the Rovers!

What sort of attitude is, its Arsenal and were going to get beaten anyway. I despair with attitudes like that, no wonder you live under a tin roof Colin, but the rest of your statement i totally agree with. (Does (black) Jack Straw cling to power with weak constituents like the moaners on here ?.) Having paid £90 for me and my daughter, it wasnt easy shelling out that kind of money for what Colin describes as a bag of over blown shyte - a semi final but i have, and i will be there enojoying Friday evening in Cardiff with a bunch of Norwegians. Norwegian blues how times change, thought it might have been Whalley range blues or Audley blues - no. its Norway blues - good on them . What the semi final does do though, is it represents an excellent opportunity with 90 minutes of live TV broadcasting for those at Cardiff to show their dissaproval of the English Football Association through voice or banners. So its Stand up if you dislike the FA, and the uncommited whinging moaners in our community. Let the sterilisation process begin to eradicate their gene pool from our shores those useless whinging @#/?s.

Hasta, have you seen a copy of the ManU programme with details of semi final tickets for the redheads.

    Semi Final

How much are the Mancs and Geordies paying for their semi-final tickets ? The ManU match programme suggests United fans only have to pay... £29 maximum for their semi final can anybody confirm or deny what the Mancs are paying for their semi, please.

    Semi Final

Surely this saturday provides an excellent opportunity for Rovers and Arsenal fans to get together and show a unified stance against the FA that the time of the kick off is wholly unacceptable. In fact the Football Associations rulers need a big boot up their backside- no wonder the competition is being devalued, they can only look to themselves.
  24. Got to reply about blundering with the tactics comments, do you not think that Rovers have to work with what they have got or the players they have and this dictates tactics. If the opposition are not allowed to score but we nick agoal then thats fine by me. To me the midfield five along with Dickov ran out of ideas after the first thirty minutes but did Hughes know that Craig Levein would be so negative and play with what must be the biggest donkey in English football in DE Vries. What justification what reason is there out there for 7000 people paying good money to watch or support a donkey like De Vries carry your hopes Tommo wasnt having an effect on the game out wide but when he went central to me he looked to be the one who was trying to play that creative killer pass into the attacking two something that Steven Reid or the Axe had failed to do. The way Dickov had been playing i wasnt confident he would convert the penalty but thankfully he did even though he hit it straight down the middle. To me the tactics were continually evolving and always having a positive effect on the team, i thought Rovers always looked the better team throughout even though we have seen a lot better in the past.
  25. If there is a small turnout on Sunday from the Blackburn fans what do we do if the team arent achieving theres and our goals... what do we do ? Do we turn it into atmospere to savour.. from all that are attending ! Or Do we chant very rude songs at those people sat at home or in the pub! The bbc would definitely like the the first, but do we the crowd give them what they want?
