  1. So whose the school govenors ...whats their vision ... yes i can fully understand the... go out and take on the world but where's the vision concerning creating and delivering a better Blackburn a better Britian, a better world. To me thats not the case its just a limited vision of the modern day me, me, me and i, maybe we should all be in the boxing ring under the banner of natural selection in order to accomodate brawn over the govenors and local dignatories brain.
  2. My beef with QEGS is ...as a grammar school its supposed to produce the cream of the crop and progress the whole area.....what the **** has been going on their for the past x generations that to me....fails progress of the area. Love Blackburn to bits, but you have to be self critical when its not going right unless your happy with shyte.
  3. Just got to say it folks, Blackburns currently has a lot of 'Asians' who are only in interested in pound notes - thats taking them, ....not.....paying them out, unless theres a return of more pound notes .....which is something Rovers dont provide. Viewing this messageboard and reading the letters in the LET on Rovers, it looks like a lot of our supporters live a fair fair distance away.. which says to me the support we currently acheive is probably close to Rovers maximum at the moment regardless of price. Local leaders, the jocks, the Asians and Jack Straw have failed miserably along with the local grammar school in resurecting Blackburn.......the 17 k that do go stand together ........please give a middle finger salute to the rest of the town you know they deserve it!
  4. Hard to say, but in the youth cup games he was eventually dropped to the bench for the last game v Brighton and when he came on you could have quite easily have subbed him because of his lack of impact. He's good at heading the ball, gets up well and attacks it with gusto and wins his fair share, as for pace and tricks i didnt see anything in the three youth cup games he played in to suggest he has what it takes, if hes got another year at youth level then maybe he has half a chance of making it.
  5. Against Arsenal you have to look at the whole picture in that Thierry Henry just wanted an easy easy afternoon without having to try to much, their midfield was or is of a poorer standard than in previous seasons and with Henry aided with a young not so good partner upfront in Adebeyor our defence should have been good ...and it was. That day was one of the best opportunities we've probably had in recentl times to face an Arsenal side. If Van persie had played how good a game would Todd have had.... because Van Persie has done Todd in every game they've ever played agianst each other. Todds just allowed himself to be sold for Spurs first goal regardless of whose throw it was, if he could pop up at the other end with the odd few goals each season from MGP or Savs free kicks/corners then i'd be happy but he doesnt do it enough for me.
  6. The report i read stated that it was Zurab who spat at the Moldova bench after being sent off my apologies if thats not the case. In the back of my mind i just wonder if Zurab is another Gresko, played outstandingly well at the beginning but once he got his contract, he then relaxed and the performances dipped alarmingly. Also cant say i'm a big Andy Todd fan, his probabilities of having a good game must be something like two error free games in three not bad but hes not the fastest, not the tallest and certainly not the best passer of a ball over thirty yards but he does do..... a decent job for Rovers. Having said that Ledley King was at fault big time for Rovers second goal at Spurs and hes supposed to be good.
  7. Dunn back to Rovers ...why are people living in the past? a big NO, NO, i say. After watching todays game v Spurs, Rovers need someone to compliment Bellamy in attack another quality centre half and a good left back. After Zurabs disgraceful behaviour for his country midweek, Rovers dont need that from someone within their ranks.
  8. Bentley is definitely....... the man to replace Tugay why are people looking elsewhere?
  9. Were is the town of Blackburn going ? Were is the industry, the vibrant business, to me its dying on its knees and has been for many a year now. Inviting Afghanistan farmers to the town recently says it all about Blackburn showing them their impact on Blackburn life by growing opium. Vote Labour ........go on Jack leads us to the abyss along with uncle Tony and his cronies. Were are we going? were is the town of Blackburn going ? the attendances are just as much political as they are leisure and recreation.
  10. Extending Tugays contract smacks of a lack of ambition, totally agree 1864, you cant rely on yesteryear thinking Tugay is going to still put in top drawer performances, to me its a waste of money in wages.
  11. Did anyone notice how poor Nelsen was against Everton, when he was running he looked like he was running through snow. Agree about Todd and Gray possibly being dropped, but Savage cant be dropped hes the energy of the team for me and playing against Sunderland will be an ideal game for him. What about Pongolle though on saturday, i thought he was absolutely rubbish maybe the Sunderland game is his chance to show us what hes got - i hope its more than he showed at Everton. Roll on wednesday to cheer us all up.
  12. When Everton went down to ten men the Rovers players seemed to relax thinking that was it - how poor they are without effort to back them up. Gray, Todd and Nelsen were shocking at the back with Gray and Todd being especially poor for a few games now. I bet Jonathan Stead cant wait for wednesday to come to break his duck against our duckheads. Pongolle was garbage to put it mildly and didnt look a threat at all, in fact Kuqi looked far better when he came on that says it all for me. Subbing Bentley instead of Pongolle seemed a strange decision for me but i think Peters has a great future especially with some of the donkeys we have at the moment.
  13. To whoever criticised the coach for the youth team on wednesday night , how can you criticise him for the tactics employed because they were just like the first team, playing 4-4-2. The coach made the right decision to move one of the wide players into the middle and take off Perzonni bringing on Treacy plus subbing DeVita for Garner. The first decision worked well and was an improvement to the team but the second decision with Joe Garner was'nt as effective as the first you could easily have subbed the sub JG. If your full backs can get up and support, but then cross the ball into the empty stand instead of the strikers what can you do? Theres only point i would make and its purely because of the class of players is the passing of the ball forward early, this to me is correct but if the player cant make apass from forty yards then they should be asked to carry it a further twenty yards and try the pass from half the distance.
  14. Was at the game last night, Waggy if you thought Garner was rubbish last time you should have seen his performance last night, talk about running on an empty tank the lad (Joe Garner) has lost it big time. The new swedish lad Olsson cant take a throw in, cant cross a ball, runs like hes hobbling very very poor. The referee pulled him up on three seperate occassions for not being able to execute a throw in properly - how bad is that, not only that the referee had to demonstrate to him how to take a throw in properly. With fives minute remaining and the youths seemingly through at two one, Frank Fielding came rushing to the edge of his area to cleer the ball when he missed the ball by a complet mile and allowed the Brighton attacker to equalise and take the game into extra time. A nightmare clanger by the youth team capatin. The little guys Ryan Woods, Alan Judge and Bryan Hodge are the only ones who can take any credit from the game. Hodge a kind of Andy Todd looking left sided midfielder was always in command after the first thirty minutes or so but tired in extra time. Jamie Clarke whom i raved about in previous games had a very disappointing game. Keith Treacy showed a few glimpses of potential but too few to shout aboput. Overall cant see one of these young guns making the prem probably lower leagues but not the premiership unless other players are going to carry them.
  15. Mark Hughes must take the blame for the WBA performance, how can he pick Tugay after his last three or four casual lacklustre performances to play against a newcomer (Quashie) and a team fighting for survival. Hughes needs to have a rethink about signing Tugay for one more season because the Turk after some terrific performances is not pulling his weight anymore we cant afford that to continue. As for kUQI, hes another one Rovers are carrying at the moment but due to injuries he has to start . I think players such as Gray and Todd have made plenty of mistakes or defensive errors in recent games which have led to goals being conceded. Watching the goals conceded at West Brom we should be saying Taxi for Todd, Tugay and Gray simply not good enough. Come on
  16. We should all be aware of the mad jock disease that affects Sir Alex, but hes cleverly put the pressure back onto us using the media by ill informing the football world that we are still a dirty team. The media focus will easily be about our disciplinary record and not he quality of football Rovers play. Good to hear John Williams dictating to the owners of ManU who Fergies successor might be, will they like that, or is it a double ploy by JW were they wont be seen to be dictated to and thus look elsewhere. Whatever, i thought JW's speech was from a position of power, of a man in control, so long may it continue.
  17. Difficult game for Rovers tonight with our limited strike force but if Rio plays midfield it might free Kuqi up, but then Savage will have more than his hands full with Rio. This is probably a wind up from Ferguson for what happened in the tunnel incident. Do we play with just one attacker like last season ? i would, with the options available, its backs against the wall tonight and i think we should play accordingly. I'd settle for a draw right now.
  18. Just watched Match Of the Day and as WHFC scored their fourth the women from BBC's commentating on the game said West ham are capitalising on Blackburns tiredness from Wednesday game, when it was Mokoena who hasnt played most of the season dropped an almighty clanger and gifted their fourth goal. UNACCEPTABLE With talk about a Russian defender maybe Zurab's place in the Rovers squad is far from secure at the end of the season. We dont want another Gresko situation on our hands, good to earn the contract then once its earned its relax for x number of years until somebody can match it or it runs out.
  19. Why does the national media want an English manager, is it so they (the national media) can pick the team for him, or so they can manipulate him, or is it so they can easily track him down and dig the dirt on him. Surely the next England manager needs to have an up to date knowledge of world football and not be limited to just managing in England. Mark Hughes certainly comes into his own on that score having managed theWelsh. But out of the list of English managers surely Peter Taylor has the widest knowledge of the game with his involvement of previously managing England and the under 21's. Is the FA run by the national media ?
  20. If Emmerton is to play against the geordies i hope Mark Hughes has a big one to one with Bret to find out what he is going to do in this game and tell him exactly what he expects from him. Emmerton in this game could be a key player from a counter attacking point of view but only if his head is on the right way. Kuqi has to start for me, despite certain limitations he has, and Dickov dropped to the bench because of his lack of pace. All Rovers have to do in this game is keep it tight for long periods, not playing the wide open football like they have done on certain occassions and just wait ....just wait for the cracks to appear in the Newcastle team because they will appear.
  21. Pedersen has played up front a couple of times for Rovers with limited sucess, once was against Cardiff in last season cup game at Ewood in the second half and i'm sure theres been another occassion.
  22. Introducing Tugay yesterday would have made no difference whatsoever because......... if your forwards arent moving into space which ours werent then there is no space to open. We just ended up playing into Boltons pockets with the high ball which nearly worked. Rovers definitely need another striker for me who can bring another dimension to the team than our tired trio yesterday especially Dickov. Dickov had two glorious passes played into him first half in front of me in which he failed to get on the end of because he was too slow.
  23. Got to say the Bolton fans chants the few that were there during the game along with their teams style of play and the plonkers on the riverside they have collectively delivered a massive blow to Boltons credibility if they ever had one. The chav who unfolded the flag ended up with a punch in his mush for his stupidity which i think was a big let off for him.
  24. How good was our defence ? I thought Rovers were very good at defending against an all out United attack, early impressions were that Micheal Gray was getting the run around in the first half by Ronaldo but he stuck to his task and came through the second half with great credit. What ever happened to Kuqi after that second half miss when he just went from average to as bad as you can get. Good to see three decent subs coming on which shows how far Rovers have come in just over twelve months. Lets be positive six games unbeaten lets make it seven on saturday.
