They've always thought that they're some massive club for some reason. A really odd bunch. -

He could have walked away without taking any severance easily enough but unless it had been agreed with the club he wouldn't be able to take another job until his contract expired. I suspect the club wouldn't release him from that aspect of the contract. He stayed on, we had a decent enough start then the paper thin squad was riddled with injuries and form started to take a nosedive. Once the Sweden job came his way he was clearly looking for an out and had lost all interest in working for the frauds at Ewood. All could have easily been avoided by giving him the actual backing he wanted and needed instead of having a fire sale and deliberately weakening the squad. Also what left winger posted above. -

I find it somewhat disgusting that a band that loves to play up their 'ard working class' origins would charge actual working class people £150 a ticket to go to their gig. I suppose when you're only in it for the money it's not a difficult decision.

Yes, by December we really were running on fumes. That squad we had last year was absolutely awful. Funny how when JDT and the Egg wanted to bring in some experience they were blocked by the owners. When the manager offers his resignation before the season starts and he's forced to stay it's never going to end well. -

So a through ball then.

40-50 a year minimum.

This is absolutely delusional. That was one of the most one sided referee performances I've seen in years. It was like watching us play at old Trafford in the 90s and 2000s. He was absolutely desperate to give you a goal but in the end failed. In the end 10 man Rovers were held to a 1-1 draw by 14 man Burnley. I still think you'll easily win the league, there's some really good players in the squad. I think the problem you'll have is that a lot of those players looked like they think playing for Burnley in the second tier is beneath them. They looked like they will bottle it when it comes to the crunch IMO, however not every team is going to fight the way Rovers did so I think you'll steam roll most of the teams in this division. I do enjoy your post match reports but I'd appreciate if you remain consistent with posting them, I noticed that you missed last week's game.

He's not the best player in the world but he's got his strengths. He's actually quite a good finisher and will score goals. -

It was actually quite surprising given it was only 1-1. If we were winning 3-0 I could understand why they'd be so silent. They really are a strange bunch. Maybe it's a result of the high proportion of cleft palates and Hapsburg Jaws amongst their fanbase. -
I sincerely hope you are right about that.

Hopefully this will be another monkey that we can shake off our backs and actually win a game after an international break. -

Their fans were absolutely awful yesterday. Apart from a small spell at the start and 5 minutes after scoring with them chanting c'on Bonlah c'on Bonlah they were absolutely silent. All you could hear was Rovers fans the whole way through. My personal favourites being 'Going down on your sister' and 'It's like a library'. Who would have thought that a quarter of a million people could be so quiet. -

Why didn't he book Parker for demanding that Travis be sent off? Why was Travis even booked anyway? That wasn't even a fucking foul. -
I still think the unwashed simpletons down the road will easily win this league. They've got some quality players going forward and the two lads they had on the wings were good. Not every team they play will be fighting like Rovers were yesterday.

Was not impressed at all last year with him. Happy to say I was wrong with that and will gladly eat my humble pie. He's managed to finally turn round the issue we've had since venkys took over the club whereby we'd immediately forfeit the match upon conceding a goal. -
So a forward pass then. Got it.
-
No he isn't. He's good but absolutely nowhere near Shearer. The only person who I think is in his class was Henry.
-
Well Ancelotti couldn't get them anywhere so there really is something fucked at that club. Hopefully they'll finally drop thos year.

That was my initial reaction as well. That game was so one sided from the ref it was like playing at old Trafford in the 90s.
