v QPR (h) - 28/09/24

As joey big nose said before there wasn't any objections from the QPR players. Having seen it again he was quite reckless. Can't believe he gave nothing for the foul before, that was obvious. It was good to see us go after them in the second half and come away with an easy win. At 2-0 the game was over, you could tell by the QPR subs the manager was just winding things down and looking forward to the next game. I said at half time we needed to shoot at goal and when we finally did we scored and their keeper made five amazing saves in a row. -

That's a good point. I haven't seen much of a decent angle of it and it was right in front of the ref. The whole situation wouldn't have happened had he done his job in the first place and dealt with the obvious foul that happened just before it. As I said it wouldn't have had much bearing on the match, they'd be down to ten either way. -

What did you make of the sending off? I didn't think it was a red, yellow at most, but the foul just before it should have been a second yellow for the lad and he just waved it away. There can't be many complaints as far as the game itself goes as QPR should have been down to ten but they now have a player serving a three match ban whereas they should have had a different player serving a one match ban. I think they should feel hard done by for that. -
None of them have been worth remembering, maybe Szmodics is an exception.

We were poor in the last game. I'm talking actual playing on the pitch. We didn't score and never looked like scoring whereas in other games this season we've looked reasonably dangerous going forward. I don't know about you but I was disappointed with only a draw against Nob End. -

Not sure it's at that stage yet. We were awful at Dumpdale, tactically poor and he didn't change it up soon enough. Hoping for a win here to get us back on track. -
They're deliberately trying to diminish the fanbase and have been at it for years. The 'discounted' tickets were done to placate the Rovers Trust who had been banging on about cheaper tickets for a long time. They set about making it as difficult as possible for people to get the 'discounted' tickets by putting them on sale as late as they could, taking the 'discount' away after only a month and disgustingly adding a £10 penalty fee for people who bought them from the club shop. This will now be used as a stick with which to beat the Trust, saying that the club have 'tried' to do things that the Trust have been asking for and it was a failure. They are so transparent in their tactics.

They don't do anything about these issues, especially diving or dissent, because the big wealthy clubs are the ones most guilty of it. If diving was given a straight red and a five game ban it would be gone from the game within two weeks. If screaming in the official's faces was a straight red it would be gone by the end of the weekend. They aren't going to start dishing out these punishments to the likes of city or united or Liverpool though, they haven't got the bollocks. They'd much rather sit back and let the game fall into even further disrepute all so they can line their own pockets. All aboard the moneygoround!

Do you mean to say the football authorities are completely incompetent and are not enforcing their own rules and standards? What is the world coming to!?!?!?!?!?!?!? -
It shows that an injured Wharton is still the best option they have. Bargain of the millennium for palace. Paid less than half his actual value.

John Eustace - our head coach

I don't expect that Eustace will deliver that with what he's been given, but I expect the owners and the higher ups at the club to deliver that at the bare minimum. -

Pears has had a couple of decent games recently, he's well overdue to throw one into his own net. -

Given we've brought in over 40million in player sales over the last 10 months I'd say a realistic expectation is that we're challenging for promotion. -

He was equally shit for both sides. The Cantwell yellow was the most ridiculous, barely just a foul. The Nobbers red was the right decision, the Beck one wasn't for me but I can see why it would be for someone else. How biting an opponent isn't a straight red I'll never know. He just blew for absolutely anything and everything, got the cards out at any opportunity. Totally lost control of the game. I've watched two games now where the referees were absolutely terrible. Not just getting a couple of decisions wrong but just absolute incompetence and a total lack of understanding about the game.
