You know it is. Cheaper to run a League One club than a Championship one. Indian government now got their eye on venkys overseas transfers so whatever scam they'd been running for the first 12 years or so can't be so easily pulled off anymore. Only option is to reduce costs. I see we've also deliberately reverted to the high playing staff turnover and plodding along model, albeit likely to be done in a lower division for the next foreseeable future.

TBF 4000Holes was usually so comprehensive that it didn't leave much room for much else to be said. I'll never forget when I got my first copy. It was the now legendary Alan Fettis game. Sat in the riverside and got absolutely piss wrapped in the April (I think) snow.

Attendances do ebb and flow with the sucess on the pitch but there's been a toxicity about the place for the last 15 years that's caused a large number to leave and not return. Shit performances are not the reason why so many have walked away to not return. Shit performances are not the reason why the attendance has dropped from 25000+ to scratching 15000 on the best of days. We just sold off the spine of a team that finished 7th to replace them with cheap nobodies. Anyone who didn't think this had a high chance of ending up in a total disaster is quite simply thick as pig shit. The fact those in power chose to do this, rather than strengthen and bolster the squad to have a solid crack at promotion is the reason why so many have turned their back on the club. This is just one more thing in an endless list of similar things that have happened over the last 15 years. Remember only a few months ago when our manager left whilst we were in 6th place to join a club in the relegation zone? You don't get people pledging 'Not A Penny More' because of some bad results. You get that when the heart and soul has been ripped out of the club and those responsible arrogantly deflect all responsibility for this onto others.

I haven't been to watch Rovers since December or January 2010/11 and can honestly say I don't feel like I have missed anything. The club's existence is completely and utterly pointless. Nobody was duped into buying a season ticket unless they are completely fucking brain dead. If people want to go because it's part of their social life or through habit or they just enjoy the experience then fair enough, not knocking anyone for that. But for someone to try and claim that they had no idea how the season was going to pan out or they for some reason thought that the club was actually going to have a single shred of ambition or dignity is completely and utterly farcical. You'd literally have to live in a complete vacuum whereby the only interaction you had with any aspect of the club or football in general would be the 2 hours you spend at Ewood every other week. So no, I don't feel any sympathy for season ticket holders, you knew exactly what you were buying into. If you didn't, that's on you.
