  1. That article just confirms this. He categorically states that the river was not the issue, says that both the pitch and drainage are old and that the surface can't handle the rain. As with all of the problems faced, the club and owners are 100% to blame. Yes, 77mm of rain is a lot, but the technology and knowledge exists to be able to find a solution to this issue. Rovers are a multi million pound business supposedly owned by supposed billionaires so this should be a simple thing to deal with given that hosting football matches is quite important for a fucking football club. I haven't been in Blackburn for over 12 years but it is my understanding that there's been a huge amount of development happening around the area in the time I've been away. In short, thia means more hard surfaces discharging more water. I also gather that much of the consent for these developments has been attained with a brown envelope so I doubt there's very little if any requirements for stormwater management to prevent the local rivers from being swamped during heavy rain events. Granted, the club doesn't have much control over this but given their economic clout in the local area alone, they should be able to work with the council to find a solution to resolve or lessen the effect this issue has on the club. Factor in the climate change effect and this is only going to get worse. The location of Ewood Park means this is something that will affect Rovers so a proactive approach needs to be taken. Again, should be an easy ask for supposed billionaires that supposedly own a football club. Not to worry, I'm sure all their lies will solve the problems.
  2. But just like with the women's team, people who have half a function braincell in their head could see that deliberately relegating the team was a bad idea. No hindsight necessary.
  3. Never a shortage of twists and turns™ on this message board.
  4. So what game did you go to then?
  5. How many clubs have had their ownership deliberately relegate them out of the Premier League and then repeatedly & deliberately sabotage any chances of them ever getting back there? I can only think of 1 example.

  17. And the fact they were about 1000 times better at playing football.
  18. Further to this point, the players that have played in the actual league match will have to go out and do a cool down that I would expect to take no less than 20 minutes. So in reality it's going to be an hour and a half before the other game could kick off. Everything about this is just so comically shit. I love it.
  19. He should have been given more time. Like another 10 years at minimum.
  20. I see that as always there's no response to these facts. I'm so sick of people trying to make that argument as it's complete and utter bollocks. So so lazy, and if people spend even half a second to use their own brains instead of just blindly repeating club propaganda, they'd see just how fucking stupid that argument is.
  21. Never ever going to happen unless there's a literal revolution.
