My first impressions were he looks like a really nice fella and maybe too nice. Maybe too intellectual for the British player mentality and my fears were before he started that he didnt know the rough and tumble of the madhouse that is The Championship. IMO he needs some older tough seasoned pros who will play hardball and once promoted you can dispense with them and go with more of a flair type continental player. To me its men against boys right now. -
Patrik Andersson scored in the semi final of the Coca Cola Cup at Hillsborough. In the 1st game Paul Warhurst destroyed us.

I remember thinking the likes of Barca, Bayern Munich, AC Milan would be playing at Ewood and then the draw comes out and it the Z listers of the Champions League. I remember over in Ireland they werent even going to bother showing the games as the group was so underwhelming. They were going to show Rangers instead. In thr end they showed the first 2 games but when we lost both they showed Rangers instead. From memory the last game with Mike Newells hat trick wasn't on tv here due to loss of interest. -

I hated that kit. If it had the normal crest on it it wouldnt have been too bad. LeSaux was thought of as an oddball as he read The Guardian and wasn't your typical cockney lout. I imagine David Batty wouldnt be glued to University Challenge. -

The Championship has to be the most unpredictable league in the world. Predicting it is difficult! -

Memories? An absolutely disastrous campaign bar the final game. Who was at the games? Would we have done better under King Kenny? -
Whatever happened to Graham Fenton?

He needs to get Vinny Jones and John Fashanu in the middle of the park and just hack down the opposition. 'Ave it! -
Robbie Slater I felt was a good player. Surprised they sold him for that dud Matty Holmes. Possibly the worst signing in football history.

The team is too young possibly. Need a couple of experienced hard men in there. Where is Ayala these days? -

There are none so blind as them that what won't listen -
Don't remember that. But lets be honest he was a very underwhelming signing in the same league as Matty Holmes.

Chris Coleman. Another dud signed in the 1995/96 season. Cant even picture him playing any game. He was like the Sha-a-dow. He comes and he goes and no-one knows
