  1. He directs the football towards the goal. Remember Kenny Dalglish. He did a great job of it in 1995/96
  2. Troy Parrott. Mentioned him a number of weeks ago. Scored last night for MK Dons.
  3. He can't take the Blackburn job as he is too busy holding hostages in the Nakatomi Plaza
  4. Was in the club shop a couple of months ago and they had no home jerseys. Bit of a joke.
  5. He's probably too busy running France
  6. Heard today through a source close to the club Mike Tyson is taking over with Phil Bardsley as assistant. I must stress these are rumours at this point.
  7. Glad Mowbray is going. However I am worried what dud they will appoint now and will it be another decline. Farke, Dyche or Keane for me.
  8. Oh contraire Rodney, oh contraire. They are Chicken People chickening out. They do exactly as it says on the tin.
  9. Mellowed not mellow😂 He hasn't much tactical nous but if he got the right number 2 he could do well imo. He would get leaders in. The team lacks leaders. Lenihan and Van Hecke seem like leaders but not sure there's any more. He won the Championship before and kept Sunderland in the Premier. The championship is awful standard. Keane is capable of doing well in it. Maybe not the Premier League but he can do well here.
  10. Its still on the small side. Even in the premier before Venkys there were only what 18,000 home fans per game (excuding away support). Hence Roy Keane as a big appoitnment as my suggestion. Sky would cover a lot of the games and the profile of the club would definitely be increased. I actually think he could do a job here and I wouldn't have been his biggest fan. He has mellowed and if he had a good tactical coach as number 2 I think promotion would be possible.
  11. Who's to say he wouldnt get results? I guarantee he would get better reaults than many of the names bandied about on this thread. The only names I would take over him would be Farke and Dyche. What did we average this season ? 12-14,000? I'd say thats small.
  12. I disagree. The club has a very small fanbase and anything to generate interest and new fans and bums on seats is a good thing. The club needs a lift. More attention means more sponsorship money from shirt sponsors and others. Appointing a no name z lister is not going to inspire fans let alone players. The list of names being touted is nothing short of depressing, And its not like he is any worse than anyone on that list. He has won the championship before. For me its worth a punt.
  13. Can we even achieve mid table Premier League status? I hate the way modern football has meant only big clubs can dream of success. The hope of winning trophies seem like something from a different stratosphere now.
  14. While fans of other clubs disliked the documentary I loved it as it gave the club a lot of coverage. Gave it another watch recently. Episode 1 and 2 were great and Episode 4 mentions the fall of Rovers. I miss the 90s.
  15. I will be shot down in flames but I'd like to see Roy Keane get the job. Number 1 it will bring great attention to the club and we will be box office. Number 2 he probably has the calibre to get the club up the table as much as any of the z list managers currently in the frame. I think he would raise the profile of the club massively and maybe attract some players we might not be able to have gotten without a big name in charge. Its a risk but so is appointing anyone else.
  16. Tony, concentrate on the game. You're the manager. Don't be posting on the forum during a game.
  17. If we are going to capitulate might as well do it in style and do it right eh?
  18. Need miracles now. Miracles. Well done Tony and staff. Kaminksi will play on the wing tonight with Daniel Ayala making a rare appearance in goal. Lenihan will play the number 10 role and Simon Garner will start as right back.
  19. I think Everton will go down
  20. All over now. Sheffield losing todya was our only hope. What a fucking collpase. Mowbray the idiot. We were almost unpregnable.
