The safe standing areas do not recreate the old terrace atmosphere imo simply because the old terraces were more dangerous and people were packed in and able to mosh about the place as they pleased. I suppose its better than sitting but its still not the real McCoy. Unfortunately the great terraces while great for atmosphere were not safe

I'd say its a pre season game as no premier league patches on the sleeves and as IrelandsRover says the shirt seems to be a hybrid of the 94-95 and 95-96 shirt. Ona side note the 95-96 away shirt was horrible with the black badge. The team lost almost every game in it and even switched back tot he old one it was so 'unlucky'. Realistically it was Ray Harfords shite management.

As a kid had the 1992-93 season review bought in the old club shop which was in a terrace house on Nuttall Street at the time. Loved that video. Had these flames on the intro if I recall with a rip off of Alive & Kicking. The guy doing the voice over would say for example ''We here at rovers look forward to 1993'' etc only to find out the same guy does voice overs for loads of clubs season reviews and says ''we here at Coventry city'' haha The Best 1994-95 Christmas mid season review video was also a decent video. The 1991-92 Rovers Return is on Youtube. Read Rovers Revolution recently. Very nice book but glossed over too many interesting topics for my liking such as the decline post 1995 etc... Any autobiographies by ex players or other books that give real insight behind the scenes at the time? Its a pity that many old traditions such as match programmes and videos seem to have all but disappeared.

Nostalgic but I like the Riverside Stand. I'd hate to see Ewood turn into a soulless bowl design. Think its a distinctive stadium and I like the pylon floodlights. Hard to believe the new stadium is almost 30 years old! Like, seriously, where did the time go! Next thing you know it they will be replacing the ''new'' stands and calling them the ''old Walker stands''

I don't see any way out of this as the players are not there up front. IMO he can change the formation but at the end of the day there is nobody of any quality to put the ball in the net. Need BBD back and Dack immediately to have a slight chance. I actually think the performances have been generally ok but with nobody to score people look at the score and say ''we played shite''. Sheffield United away was a good performance but a crap result for example.
