  1. Lady luck is going against us. I don;t see us making the playoffs.
  2. I don't see any way out of this as the players are not there up front. IMO he can change the formation but at the end of the day there is nobody of any quality to put the ball in the net. Need BBD back and Dack immediately to have a slight chance. I actually think the performances have been generally ok but with nobody to score people look at the score and say ''we played shite''. Sheffield United away was a good performance but a crap result for example.
  3. Only Tim Sherwood can save us now. He knows the club and what the fans want.
  4. He was an unbelievable player. I think he scored in almost every home game in 95/96. Incredible. I think from his point of view he would have stayed had Dalglish stayed and the club was still in good hands. He could see it was a sinking ship under Harford and the lack of signings in 1995 he probably felt the club was only going to go one direction. It would have been interesting had Walker told Newcastle. You can have Shearer but only if you give us Keegan. That would have been a great appointment! Was always disappointed in Dalglish taking the Newcastle job. He wanted no more day to day activity supposedly and then takes that job. Interestingly his last good job was at Blackburn. Was a bit of a disaster after that although he achieved some notable results at Newcastle he was ultimately a poor appointment,
  5. I heard he gave a strong team talk at half time ''I'm your Venus. I'm your fire. Your desire''
  6. The secret ingredient is shagging your brothers wife
  7. I'd be more worried at the state of the stands. I saw mould and corrosion on the steel structures. You just have to look at Birmingham City to see stands that were neglected and now looks like they may need to be demolished. The stands and roofs at Ewood need a power hosing and some repairs and a fresh coat of paint badly.
  8. Shearer was roundly booed when he left the club which was silly and immature from the Rovers fans. I recall a few years later he scored for Newcastle at Ewood and had a go at the fans in a post match interview saying he has waited a few years to stick it to the Blackburn fans. As I said maybe a lot wont agree but I think Shearer should have a statue at Ewood. Its a pity you dont tend to see much of Dalglish and Shearer back at Ewood for games considering the figures they were for the club albeit for a short period of time.
  9. I've met Sherwood a couple of times and both times found him a really nice bloke and good craic.
  10. Ok if true its a bit of a dick manouevre. Is Shearer a nice guy? He was my hero but you look at his interviews from 92-96 and his interviews are so boring. In a deadpan monotone voice: ''Its nice to be top of the league but its early days yet...'' Shearer nice but dim. If I was to guess guessing from that championshp winning squad I'd say Batty was probably someone who I imagine I wouldn;t like but then you might meet them and have your preconceptions changed.
  11. Agree but I think by and large performances have been decent in this awful run. Only Swansea away and Forest home sticks out as absolute rubbish performances. Fulham wasn;t great either but to be expected there. Just terrible up front imo and that will cost us.
  12. good results tonight. I think the playoffs will be Huddersfield, QPR and Forest. I think we will struggle to make it just because of a lack of a goalscorer.
  13. Gullit won the European Cup twice and a Euros and was a great player
  14. Yes fair enough but I don't think Sutton was a cock but might be wrong.
  15. You sure it wasn;t the other way around? I liked Shearer (obviously) but I imagine he has an ego. Made Keegan take the number 9 shirt off Ferdinand at Newcastle, had a punch up with Gillespie and had a falling out with Gullitt.
  16. He had a depressed far away look in his eyes, glazed over, contemplating life look. The more goals we scored the more depressed he got. He was ranting and raving at the players int he 1st half and just sat motionless in the 2nd. Maybe he had been listening to Radiohead at half time.
  17. Van Hecke is a very good player and good enough. He would need to beef up for the Prem. Looks a little lightweight.
  18. The most excitinggroup ever. Spartak Moscow, Legia and Rosenborg. You win the Premiership and get that shite. It was an embarrassing effort led by Ray Harford who couldn;t manage a good shite
