  1. Cowardly tactics as in having a loser mentality. Cowardly tactics as in playing very defensively against poor teams even at home because of fear of losing. We didn't win many games.
  2. Cannot agree. His interviews are very Kean-esque even though he hasn't directly praised the owners. Him first praising the quality of the squad and then resorting to cowardly tactics to grind out (mediocre) results. The "no excuses except every single excuse in the book culture". "No major surgery required". And more recently "Hedges is like a new signing".
  3. Whenever he refers to "conversations he's had with his sources" I imagine it's actually just him lurking on this forum.
  4. Chrisene was mediocre at best. Good athlete but little skill. The way the squad is shaping up I do think he could be useful especially if Eustace persists with the caveman tactics from last season. If he's cheap to bring in on loan I could see it happen. When talking about our potential wingers, it's important to remember that JRC, Hedges and Sigurdsson are injury prone. Dolan is extremely inconsistent and Markanday is not good enough for the Championship. None of them are fast.
  5. Surely Waggott has a cunning plan. Verbally agree to a juicy multiyear deal, then present a lower salary on a one year deal when the player is in the building. Surely the player will think feck it, since I already travelled here I will sign it anyway.
  6. Since it was a very strange appointment (to say the least), what does he think made him stand out compared to the other candidates? Did he reach out to the club or the other way around? Can he describe how he experienced the recruitment process?
  7. Really a pathetic appointment. Gestede was likely brought on to the gravy train because Waggott thought it would appease the more naive fans. Maybe Steve Kean hinted to Gestede that there's easy money to be made which could have tempted Gestede to approach the club. By all accounts he is just following the script Waggott gives him so there's no point in asking him any questions about the club.
  8. Looks like he started last season as Spezia's third choice keeper in Serie B. After the first choice keeper left he perhaps became their second choice keeper but he had no league appearances last season as Spezia finished 15th in Serie B. Released when his contract expired.
  9. As bad as Telalovic performed, at least it seemed like he cared and tried his best. Vale looks like he's forced to show up in a Rovers shirt and cannot be bothered.
  10. So often the ball just seems to go right through Wahlstedt into the net. Abysmal rebound control as well. Pears is very poor as well though. Saying someone is better than Pears is not much of a compliment.
  11. Apparently Wahlstedt is signing for AGF Aarhus. Fee reported to be around 1 million Euros (danish media).
  12. Fourth highest transfer profit in the league last season. The problem is the owners and their henchmen, not financial fair play.
  13. Back to basics is a kind way to put it. Terrible football and terrible results is not something to be happy about. More like he brought in a loser mentality and erased the attacking football that saw us finish 7th previously. But at least I guess he is cheap and will not complain about Venky/Waggott/Suhail scumbaggery.
  14. In the second half of last season Eustace showed what we can expect to see when he tries to get the best out of the current squad.
  15. Very predictable. Moving at a snail's pace as usual. Maybe Waggott is thinking that later in the window the players who have failed to attract interest from other clubs can be more desperate and accept a lower wage. Loan deals could also be found cheaper later in the window when clubs are more desperate to send out players that there seems to be no interest in.
  16. Many of these players we are rumored to be looking at can be found just by going through a list of the oldest possible Championship players with an expiring contract. Hopefully this is not how we're looking to recruit this summer. We need to add key players.
  17. I haven't seem him play so I cannot say whether he would be a good signing but the likes of Paul Mullin (who looked terrible when we played Wrexham) and former goalshy Millway striker Matt Smith scored loads of goals in League two last season. I don't doubt that he might be better than Telalovic, but it's a big step up from League two. Also how could he "run riot" against Luton when he was an unused substitute?
  18. So if Wharton got injured and wasn't sold we would be in administration. How is that acceptable? Does financial fair play rules prevent the owners from spending 20 million this window (if Szmodics is sold for let's say 10-12 million)? With our weak squad, do you find it acceptable to be scraping the barrel to find the cheapest (hopefully they are cheap) and oldest players possible who might be able to do a job for one more season before retirement? No forward thinking and no ambition.
  19. Exactly. It's laughable how anyone can defend the mismanagement of the club. But worry not! Yes man Eustace is happy with the squad. If we can just sign up the likes of McFadzean and Fleck for one more season we might be able to celebrate avoiding relegation once more.
  20. McFadzean's legs has gone which means that we have to play with a very low defensive line if he starts. If anything he might be even slower next season. Hopefully not a sign that Eustace is pleased with what he saw during the last months of last season and wants to continue with a similar tactical approach. If he is signed as squad depth because he is cheap then it's less worrying. However, it makes more sense to always expect the worst considering the previous transfer windows.
  21. Disgusting to see the scumbag Waggott smiling while posing with his most recently hired meat shield.
  22. Even outside of the club you'd think Pears has now earned a reputation for being a mistake prone clown. Even without the horrific errors he just isn't very good at this level. Would be very surprising if we got bids for him. Maybe he could get a League One loan.
  23. Pears has been given so many chances now and it's obvious he's not good enough. If given the opportunity his poor performances will continue to cost us points. Clearly it's time to move on. Maybe he can find success at a lower level. Keeping him here as first choice would be your typical unambitious Venky/Waggott move though.
  24. Happy for Wharton. Of course it was inevitable that he would leave Rovers relatively soon, but the way he was sold to the first and lowest bidder was disgusting. The Venkys are scumbags and so is Waggott and their other degenerate henchmen.
  25. If Tyjon develops into a good player we might see a small fee in the future when he leaves like Ashley Phillips? A fee that would not be reinvested into the squad. Very good news?
