  1. If they've turned up Monday and trained well and worked on what they need to do,you know, done what they're paid to do, we should win. If they've turned up with a face like a slapped arse, looking for excuses, we've no chance. Both scenarios include both playing and coaching staff.
  2. I said when we were leaving on Saturday, when do we have to come back again?
  3. What we need is someone who can get the best out of the players we've got, rather than sulking about what we haven't got,we just haven't got time for belly aching. If Tomasson is up for it then fair enough, get on with it, if not then get rid. I'd personally be giving Solsjaer a ring, see what he's up to, but contrary to popular belief, there would be a fair queue. Eustace does seem like a motivator, as does Rowett, but do they fit in with the "project"?
  4. I'd agree with that, maybe throw Tronstad in as he at least kept going and kept the ball moving. A goal always gets forgotten when you lose, but good to see Gallagher score again, 2 in a week, let's hope he can keep it going.
  5. You've said it better than I could. My granddaughter came today, she's 12 and plays all the time, rather than watching. Twenty minutes in she said when did him with the bun come on?
  6. You're right, I'm not exonerating anyone of blame, but that doesn't help at 3 o'clock next Saturday. Lancaster Rover has summed it up perfectly above.
  7. Come on, they can play a lot better than they did today, their second goal was pathetic from our point of view. At that point, I have to admit I wasn't blaming Waggot for not closing Hodge down, sorry.
  8. I'm not excusing anyone anything. Whatever happens at board level happens, but they're not playing against Stoke next Saturday and we badly need a result.
  9. The owners aren't picking the team, or pulling their boots on, let's not make it an excuse. That today wasn't acceptable and it will lead to relegation.
  10. Agreed, we've played some great stuff this season, we know we can do it. I just can't do with the thought of sulking behind the scenes. We're in a position where we can't afford anything less than 100%. To be honest, I'm way past pinning my colours to the mast of any player, coach or manager. They can all stay or go, I'll get over it.
  11. If he wants to go, then go. If he wants to stay then stay, but what we can't afford is for him to stay and be sulking around the place. I don't go to work all week to watch that gutless shite on a Saturday, I don't care whose fault it is.
  12. Andy Bayes was gushing in his praise for the groundsman on radio Lancashire before the Wrexham game, saying what a good job he'd done.
  13. Decent signings Fleck and Mcfadzean, adding much needed experience and bollocks.
  14. I liked Yates at Blackpool, I'm not saying he wouldn't be a good signing, although apparently Swansea would be happy to cut their losses already, which casts a bit of a doubt. I just think I'd rather stick with Gallagher personally, if he's fit I'd say he's quite a bit more accomplished, and experienced at Championship level. It's all about opinions.
  15. There is always a big emphasis on Gallagher's wages, makes me wonder what percentage of his wages Yates would be on. My opinion, I certainly wouldn't swap. The only possible consideration would be Gallagher's injury record.
  16. According to Rich Sharpe, about a 40% more chance of winning when he played last season. My only doubt would be his injury record, other than that, I think we'd struggle to get anywhere near to replacing him with the money being mentioned.
  17. Rovers best option would be to extend his contract, we'd be very lucky to sign someone anywhere near to Gallagher's importance to the team for £2 million. The new forward may want paying as well.
  18. If it was just about being desperate to save money, would they not have taken £2 million for Gallagher, and saved the biggest wage packet at the club? The figures just don't seem plausible.
  19. Slight exaggeration admittedly, but come on, how much can he possibly be on? You don't banish your captain to save his wage, it isn't remotely plausible.
  20. It's Garrett's shirt to lose now, it's up to him, what an opportunity.
  21. I don't believe for one minute that Travis went to save his wages, how much is he on, half a million a week?
  22. Garrett did struggle, especially first half, but played a great ball through to Gallagher leading to the first goal. There's something there to work with.
  23. We'll get nowhere near Gallagher's quality with £2 million, the replacement may want some wages as well I'm guessing.
  24. Carter is on crutches. Garrett did have a mare first half, but he did play a nice ball through leading up to the first goal (think it was him, not seen it back yet).
