The January 2026 Transfer Window

Apparently, again according to someone the other day, the deal is sealed, it's in the club's hands, it's up to Rovers whether or not it happens. -

Don't think that's possible according to someone the other day -

Just watched the highlights, he actually won the ball back leading to our attack for the first goal as well. -

Nyambe suffered from a similar thing, not saying you're doing the same, but if you call out the negatives but fail to point out the positives, you've automatically got yourself a poor player. Miller suffers from being signed under the Gestede regime. To a lot of people, he's shite until he proves them wrong, and boy do they not want to be proved wrong. I've read countless times on here, "I'll forgive them most things if they give it their all". That obviously doesn't apply to Miller, because there's nobody tries harder. As I've said before, he's no Franco Baresi, but he leaves nothing out there, and I for one think he deserves a wee bit of slack. -

Ta, thought he did, I thought it would have been worth at least a mention in a post match summary. -

Spot on, it's as much the way he plays as anything. There are certain positions where players can play a full 90 minutes game in, game out. It should be obvious to anyone that Ohashi's role isn't one of them, without it affecting performance. -

I'll bet Ismael is thinking Morishita, Gudjonson and Ohashi up front would be nice. -

I remember seeing Shelvey on transfer deadline day turning up to sign, I think at Forest. Ripped jeans, hoodie, slouching along with his hands in his pockets.Looked like it was killing him even having to walk. I would have been In the Mowbray camp on that one. What a slob. -

Mate sent me a comment he'd seen, apparently Talksport commentary against Wrexham said Rovers had "1 or 2 injuries ". -
We've lost Gudjonson and Alebiosu since he came back, which obviously hasn't helped . Morishita has been really missed for the last 2 as well.

So if one person thinks we should sell him, does it then become a dilemma ? -

Plenty seemed to reply, can't be only in my head. -
We had Baradji, I thought he'd maybe go off at half time, he looked leggy first half and he'd been booked. He came out to be our best player second half, taking us forward more often than not. He was definitely the one bright spot from today.
-
I felt for him today actually, not a lot went right for him, but he's trying harder than anyone. He's been getting criticised for losing the ball carrying it out, but he's the only one who actually tries to carry the ball out. There's a few getting a softer ride due to the amount they're playing, but he's played virtually every minute. If I'm picking an 11 for a relegation fight, he's one of the first on the team sheet.

We can, but players running/being allowed to run their contracts down is also a fact of football life. I wish he'd sign but if both parties are at loggerheads, would you sell or keep ? -

Well yeah, maybe they have. Depends what suits one's narrative a lot of the time. If he's hellbent on moving nearer home, then he will do. If he moves to another British club then someone was telling porkies. Dilemma still remains though as we don't know the facts, if it's sell him or keep him and lose him for nothing, which would you choose? -

It's the age old dilemma. Well, not that old, only in recent years has the player held the power. -

He does lose the ball more than the other 2,but then he does carry the ball forward more than the other 2 put together. As I said after the Wednesday game, he's no Franco Baresi but you can't knock his effort and application. It does seem strange that he keeps getting singled out when he's been an ever present in a defence which has done so well.
