I agree with 2, Morishita will prove to be an important signing but is never a winger, he was thrown in for decoration,and Hedges has proven to be a better wing back. The other 2 have been dire, which leaves me to think that if I was to try to play with at least one winger, I might have to sign one. I'd be more inclined to think he'd be more of a wide forward than an actual winger.

Yes, but I'd also ask you the question, if you wanted to be able to adapt to play a different way, wouldn't it be logical to sign players to be able to adapt ?

6th best I think . I think a lot of it stems from the sale of Baath, and then the last minute sale of Hyam. We haven't missed them as much as a lot predicted,if at all. The link to Gibson is a logical one, R99 has been calling for an experienced head. The way we play allows the defence to maybe play every game, whereas the midfield and forwards cover a lot more ground. Regarding Miller, Franco Baresi he ain't, but you can't knock his effort and application, and as you say, he's been part of a defence which is keeping our heads above water.

Wouldn't say they were gilt edged Jim by any means, but they were chances. To give 2 chances up in 90 minutes away from home isn't really the problem. I watched the "highlights" this morning and two thirds of it was Rovers missed chances/opportunities,there's the problem.

Defensively, despite losing player after player, he's got the team playing really well, one of the best goals against records in the division. We need two ready to go forwards early in the window, the club needs to act ASAP. Ohashi is having to play virtually every minute and we know the inevitable will happen. The defence can't keep propping up the whole team, it will start creaking eventually.

You're rewriting history, nobody mentioned Eustace's home form in isolation until he started winning away. You were the main protagonist and I pointed it out to you more than once. You did exactly with Eustace what you're criticising others doing with Ismael.

Eustace's overall form last season was under scrutiny right from the off, and rightly so. Only when we started winning away did it become a "home" thing, the whole Stokegate thing became the main topic of conversation. That conversation definitely changed to suit an agenda.

Be interesting to see how we're fairing defensively compared to this time last season. This season we have the 7th best goals against record with 26, only 3 goals worse than second best. Are we really missing Hyam and Baath that much ? It doesn't seem to be the defence which is struggling.

I agree, but I can't honestly see them signing someone unless it's certain that one or both won't play in the near future. If you add those 2 to the list of centre halves, I'm reckoning 7 including Aitcheson.

Sure I heard late Jan/early Feb for a Wharton return? If(I know) him and Carter are available in the next two or 3 weeks, we're going to be well stocked. Can't really see us signing a centre half if that's the case. I'd suggest if we do sign one, it isn't good news for one or both.
