  1. It is/has been a problem, I've been saying for a few weeks that things do seem different to the last few years, but it's the proof of the pudding and all that. Hopefully we see a change for the better.
  2. It is sometimes the right thing to do obviously, but as it is now with all the power being with the players it can be a complicated situation .
  3. Nothing has changed, but we've to go back to Armstrong for a comparison. Ismael said he wanted to keep Britain but the club sold him when it was obvious that he wasn't going to sign, I'd say that was the correct thing to do. As far as the others go, let's see what happens, each one is an individual case. An "inability" to resign them may be an unwillingness, especially with the midfield reinforcements. The player himself may not actually want to sign. If Tronstad, Travis or Hyam resign or are sold before their contracts expire, on top of the Britain sale, would that then suggest to you that things may just be changing?
  4. Nothing has changed ? When was the last time we sold someone in the last year of his contract who wouldn't sign for £3 million ?
  5. It's been going on ages, which is what I think Ismael was suggesting. The Britain sale bucked the trend, as does the length of contracts for the new arrivals. We also have a new head coach, why would he want to renew the contract of a player he doesn't want ?
  6. It depends on the reasons why they're not signing.
  7. I don't so much mind anyone not signing, that's their prerogative. Obviously, the key is a, getting money for them. b, replacing them with a good/better. With receiving good money for Britain and signing new players on longer contracts, maybe, just maybe the new broom is getting busy.
  8. Miller has to play, if there's one team I'd love to beat off a long throw...
  9. Said a couple of weeks ago, for owners who don't care about the fans, they don't half go a long way to make us feel better. Must be the most baffling and most used contradiction on here.
  10. I'm hoping he does really well and nobody can get him out of the team.
  11. We'll see how Hyam gets on without Batth, wonder if anyone will be checking how Batth is getting on without Hyam. A defensive partnership won't work well unless they compliment each other. That chemistry works both ways.
  12. Be interesting who's on the bench at West Brom, and particularly who plays against Bradford. It may just be that the club really rate Michalski. We'll soon find out if Pears goes, there's no way Ismael would do without replacing him unless he was certain.
  13. Yeah , at least they're halfway there. Ismael said it was emotional leading up to Britain leaving, there's no doubt he wanted to keep him.
  14. He didn't want to sell him, he said they offered him a deal but he wouldn't sign it and wanted to go. Regarding Miller, I'll have to watch him a few times at least before making a judgement.
  15. I'm remembering Keith Gillespie giving Van Bronkhorst 5 yards start.
  16. I think it's where the forward/s will come from.
  17. "we are still dealing with situations from the past . Now we have a clear line internally" Now, it seems obvious to me that he blames what went on before Gestede, ie Waggott. if you think Gestede is included in Ismael's criticism, then that's your prerogative, but I'd say you, and others, are just convincing yourselves for whatever reason.
  18. "We made a good deal but we missed the chance to extend Callum before my time. I think if we made the same offer one year ago, we wouldn't have been in that situation . We are still dealing with situations from the past . Now we have a clear line internally, we tried everything to keep him" After the game in Holland .
  19. Thanks, it was the top one. It was the "mistakes from the past" bit that I wanted to clarify.
  20. Any chance you could find the Ismael interview after the Stanley game Chaddy please, sounds like a job for you,the one on the terrace.
  21. I didn't,it didn't come across like that.
  22. That's one way of looking at it, but Ismael doesn't strike me as someone who suffers fools.
  23. It wasn't me who said it, it was Ismael.
