That was pretty much what was predicted last night. It gives a green light for them not to cancel now the govt have confirmed. -

Was this a reply to me? Because it isn't what I said, or what you were discussing. You said: I replied that it was more LLLWL over the last 5 games and the next few matches will tell us if the WWW of the first 3 games was a blip. Which it will. Also, we weren't discussing if he will be successful overall or not, we were discussing the first half of the season. By the time of the Burnley away game the first half of the season will be pretty much done. JDT needs to win football matches, like every other football manager. He doesn't get a free pass for half a season where he's allowed to win 1 in 5. That's fantasy. So, like I said, we'll see what the next few matches brings. -

Jon Dahl Tomasson handed two new Blackburn Rovers problems but George Hirst offers a solution - Elliott Jackson - LancsLive Even the local journos can see the problem with the way the team is set up, especially the huge gaping hole between our defence and midfield that the opposition find easy to exploit. JDT needs to wise up or he won't win enough games to see through his 'project'. -

Blackburn Rovers buck the Championship trend with transfer net spend | Lancashire Telegraph At least the manager was supported...comparatively. -
Below are our next 13 fixtures, up until the month long winter break for the World Cup. Based on what you've seen so far, what position do you think we'll be after the Burnley away game? Options: 1st -6th 7th - 13th 14th - 20th 21st - 24th I'm genuinely concerned. I'm predicting 14th-20th, not far above the relegation zone. Why? We've got an inexperienced manager who may or may not be any good. We've also got a young team who if we continue losing will lose confidence.

Which is why I qualified it with 'if we carry on winning 1 game out of 5'. I hope you're right about the points total...I just have a horrible feeling JDT might not be all that. -

We're 6 points above the relegation zone. 4 points if Boro win their game in hand. We'll be in the relegation zone in a matter of weeks if we carry on winning 1 game out of 5. Lots of complacency about, especially as we don't yet know if the manager is a total dud. -

Which is all very laudable, but as DoF he also knows we have to get results. He is JDT's manager. If JDT is not doing his job properly it will be up to GB to recommend pulling the trigger. I very much doubt that he will agree with your assertion that avoiding relegation for the next year or two is the summit of our ambitions. -

I'm old enough to remember when Barnsley's manager took over their team in October when they were 4th bottom, and by the end of the season had them in the play-offs. He didn't need 3 seasons to 'compete'. A good manager improves the players and improves the team fairly quickly. The jury is very much out on JDT. -

I'll probably get a Meat & Potato pie when I'm in Wigan. What wine would you recommend as an accompaniment? -

Pass it along the backline for a minute > pass it forward > lose the ball > get hit on the break with at least 5 players marooned ahead of the ball. Rinse and repeat. -

I thought Carter played well. He's big and quick and didn't look out of place in the Championship at all. And he smashed Wells over by the Riverside so that was a plus.
