  1. On Wharton’s display, he (JDT) said: “He was the best player in the game. “The boy he gets things right, on the ball, off the ball, and that’s great to see. “I’m happy to see that development Adam has made this season. “If you do the right things in training, and keep doing the right things, you will get chances. “It’s also important that a young lad shouldn’t go down and (start) doing the wrong things. “Everything is possible for the boy if he does the right things.”
  2. There is no equivalence to what happened in January. Sheer incompetence, overseen by Broughton.
  3. He is. He said so. Transfers are his responsibility and he should walk.
  4. Who is 'they'?? And how are 'they' playing us?? Again, it's the first time we've failed to send off not one, but two, registration forms. It's sheer incompetence, and GB is ultimately responsibe
  5. It's the first time we've failed to send not one but two forms off in time. Blaming past regimes doesn't cut it. It's on his watch.
  6. He's responsible for transfers. His words. January brought shame on the club. It's on him and he should walk.
  7. I hope it isn't. I hope if they do want to sell him, and he wants to move, that bidding starts closer to £50m. He'll be worth that and more in a year or two of playing regular football.
  8. We'll beat Luton, beat Millwall, beat Luton again (twice) and then beat Boro and break Mogga's heart. We'll then do the double over the shit Dingle bastards next season. And win the FA Cup. The future's bright, the future's Blue 'n' White.
  9. Not even a year 🙂 He should be fucked off back to whence he came.
  10. JDT: “I think a goal like that is class, and he was even sitting on the bench. “They had three strikers and a winger sitting on the bench, and bringing on a player of that quality. “It’s very difficult to stop when it’s a quality player. “We were defending excellently to that point, played football under pressure, one and two touches, and what were lacking is the final third.” Well said that man.
  11. It matters in the context of the discussion we were having, yes. If you want to have a different discussion, crack on.
  12. I'm not saying they were big chances, but I'm not having it that we didn't compete and that we weren't the better team. We clearly were, we just have fuck all up front. And those bastards created fuck all.
  13. Exactly. But we competed and took the game to them, we created the better opportunities, we just lack half decent forwards. When we played them at Turf Moor we didn't compete. And they created fuck all anyway.
  14. Can you pick out some of those big chances Burnley had? They had one shot on target. We had five.
  15. Do you know him? Are they his only choices?
  16. I've been clear all along. We created more chances, so, again, yes. You said we couldn't compete. We clearly did, we were the better team, we just don't have the resources they have. Proud as punch tonight. We're on the right track. If you can't see it that's your problem.
  17. Our lack of cutting edge let us down. Nothing else. We were the better team.
  18. They scored with their only shot on target. They had the luck that's deserted us. They also have about 4 wingers who would walk into our team, because they can afford them. We matched/bettered them on every metric possible, except the excellent strike that won it for them. We more than competed.
  19. .....and yet, despite that litany of despair, we were the better team.
  20. A blind man on a galloping horse can see we're a far better team than the one that got battered against Sheff Utd, Burnley and PNE before Christmas. Luck has deserted us, and the lack of a striker has again caught up with us.
  21. Are we at the 'must-win' stage yet?! 🙂
  22. Lady Luck has started divorce proceedings against us, that much is clear. We've been cursed since the Sheff Utd FA Cup game, but the last 3 matches have been insanely cruel. Two games to go, we can still make the play-offs. Maybe the football gods are testing us before awarding us a Speedie-esque penalty in the last minute of the play-off final. One can dream.... 🙂
  23. Dolan, Hedges, Thomas, BBD consistently make the wrong decisions. BBD and Thomas are thankfully off. Dolan and Hedges are decent squad players but we need better if we're going to convert possession in to chances/goals. Admittedly that's the hardest part of football but the recruitment's teams priorities this summer must be strikers and wide players.
